Dark Knight I am in the same situation. I am looking to get headers with cats. I already have a MBRP cat-back exhaust and love it. Just need more info on all the different makes of headers.

That is without a tune. However, that mpg only lasted while going to work and not coming home from work as I'm never in a hurry to get to work and always in a hurry to get home. Either way, the car is definitely getting 2+ mpg's better since the header install.

Folks, With every purchase of an ARH system comes the confidence that your money didn't go to the Chinese or other Asian suppliers. Our products are and have always been100% US made. We feel that although our products cost more to buy we're still competitive considering it costs us more to produce our products. Switching to Chinese sourced tubing, flanges and cats could easily knock off $200.00 or more from manufacturing costs. Do you think that doesn't play into the overall price of our systems. Unlike others, we refuse to be sellouts to the Chinese because quality takes precedence to profit. This is what drives ARH.
For most this reason alone is enough to buy ARH. All our other great features is just icing on the cake. Top quality will always cost more and we're proud to be the "go to" header manufacturer when only the best will do. Nick Last edited by A.R. Headers; 11-13-2009 at 04:16 PM. |

Suggested Retail $936.00 I would delete the above posted $560 offer price. Thats well below Doug Thornley MAP (Minimum Advertised Price) which is dictated by the manufacturer. Its also netting the seller nearly NO PROFIT which is insane for someone trying to make a living on these things. Now back to your question: Doug Thornley though a quality product in their own respect are not in the same league with the top quality Stainless Steel Headers from the likes of ARH, Kooks, or Dyantech. Completely different animal (thermal coated steel vs stainless steel). Not even close! Last edited by 2Tightwads; 11-13-2009 at 04:58 PM. |

I put Kook's 1 7/8 headers, high flow cats, and Magnaflow 2.5'' street catback on my car Wednesday and it sounds so good. It sounds even better than I had hoped. It's not loud at all (which was my reasoning for getting the Magnaflow street catback).
It has a nice low rumble to it at idle. At WOT it sounds absolutely beautiful. The best part is its nice and quiet with no drone at cruise speeds. (Side note - the Magnaflow street catback would be way too quiet without long tubes). I do have that weird sounding AFM exhaust burble/noise for a split second when the AFM kicks in. That will be eliminated next Wednesday when I get my car re-tuned. For anyone that wants long tubes headers without their exhaust becoming overly loud, this is the setup for you. I'll try to post a video clip this weekend. But unfortunately all I have is little camera that doesn't do a very good job. |

I wanted to tell Maryland Speed a big THANK YOU!!!! You are #1 in my book for all my Camaro needs.
They go above and beyond, customer service A+, even after hours. Ordered my Kooks 1 7/8s catted Headers on Wednesday, They shipped the same day, I got a tracking # immediately, and received them on the opposite coast less than a week later. They are now installed and are better than expected. Very easy install, even on jack-stands. I highly recommend Maryland Speed for any an all mods for your hotrod, great pricing and great customer service. Thank you!!! Kooks for the WIN!!!! |
