That's why I said close. It will be lighter than the current GT, so it will slightly offset the torque difference. I expect it to do high to mid 13's max. Of course I'm talking about the V6 equipped with the SVT Performance Package they mentioned.

I would actually consider the V6/manual with the trak pak. SHould be a very impressive package.

I think it's funny as hell, you can tell the guy in charge of engineering the Mustang was jumping all over the crew to get 1 more hp and 1 more mpg. I bet the cupholder holds 1 size larger big gulp too.

performance is one thing, looks is another. I don't see the blue oval "mopping" anything in 2011, but still looking for a bucket to put water in.

I think its great Ford is stepping up to the plate, maybe this will pressure GM to put the 5th gen on a diet.

You sure seem to bash GM at every opportunity you get, huh? Do you get a kick outta trying to piss people off? I can understand needing a voice to play devil's advocate, but the way you go about it is just, well, sad.

I hope GM's not resting on its laurels! For the Camaro to really be re-established, it needs to stay competitive every model year. Let's see some stock forced induction next year!

BUT the Challenger looks better than the Camaro and Mustang put together, Camaro looks like a Volt/Cadillac

I agree. The front end of the Challenger looks REAL good in the rear view mirror.

Ford is finally making the non-GT Mustangs decent performance wise. Now if they would just kill the entire rear end design team.

20 hp and 40lbft.

Should do 0-60 in high 5's if the V8 is any indication.

Heh. Very nice. Now, the Genesis can further its fail by losing sales to a competent Mustang, too.

But do any of you seriously think the LLT is "tapped out"....that this is it, and Ford has "won".........I think not.

Congratulations, Ford....you've finally entered the 21st century. In engines, at least.

Not quite. We don't know what the Mustang can do as far as safety regs and I'm certain they wouldn't add that much weight. The bulk of the reason the Camaro weighs so much more is the IRS and superior chassis/body design yielding unrivaled rigidity. Not all of it is saftey regs.
