Anyone own a Volant CAI?? $257 @ Autoanything

Just wondering if anyone has a Volant CAI yet. I hate to be the first to buy one. Today autoanything has the cyber monday 15% off sale which makes the volant about $257 w/ free shipping.

I'm thinking about just going for it because I like the non-oil type filter. I think it is kindof ugly though, like a kids toy or something. But for that price it's hard to pass up.

Otherwise I am looking at the C.A.I. intake, it looks awesome.

Seems like a wonderful deal for the PowerCore Intake from Volant. PowerCore dry filter with 100K waranty is supposed to be a super filter. I did a search, and there is very little on this system for the Camaro. Many of the Pontiac guys love theirs, and alot of the diesel guys swear by them. For $257 shipped, I'm about a 6 pack away from being one of the first to try it out.

If you all get it, let us know if it makes any difference in performance.

Get your credit card out and set it by your computer so you won't have to find it after six beers.

Well...no beer for me tonight, so let me know how it turns out. Just not ready to make up my mind yet. I'm thinking there will be other sales closer to christmas if I change my mind.

I might still wind up paying the extra money for the C.A.I. intake, and add a dry filter to it.

C.A.I is also one I am considering. If I go that route, I will call Volant and order just the filter they use on their SS intake kit.
