Also, why would it just start now when the headers were changed? Mine just started right after the new headers were installed...OEM until after the CATS, then Zoomers exhaust after that...

couple of suggestions

check that the O2 sensors are tight, I had a loose one and it would rattle at certain RPMs until I figured out what it was. However yours sounds like something is broken inside your resonator, was very pronounced on a few of the videos.

with the exhaust cool get under there and tap around on the exhaust pipes to see if you hear any rattle or that your exhaust or headers are hitting any cross member or heat shield. Try hitting the resonator and see if it sounds like anything is loose inside like a broken baffle.

You could try to do a diagnosic by trying to isolate the noise. This approach might work and it will take some time: put the car up on a rack so you can get underneath it and starting at the exhaust exit work your way back up to the engine by placing a long screwdriver up against your ear and the other end on the exhaust pipe. You should be able to better isolate where the noise is emanating from? It's like using a stethoscope!

Here is my solution for the moment: I ordered the flowmaster cat-back system. So I will get rid of the resonator and all the stock stuff entirely. Hopefully this will get rid of these noises. I might have a problem with the resonator, but this is what sucks about modding your car. I would be wasting my time asking my dealer to fix it. They just wont. Its my problem now. The system should be here by the end of the week. Then once its installed, I will see if I get the noise still. If I do, it must be the headers. Any thoughts on this?

Also, I dont really want to get into a debate about wich cat-back is the best. I got flowmaster because the cost. I only paid 635.00. Thats the cheapest solution I could find from a manufacturer that Im familiar with. If I had a big bank account, I would have done headers and the catback and the tune all at the same time. But I dont have 3,000 dollars laying around the house every day.

When you install headers, it is normal to hear ticking, or pinging from the front of the car. Basically, the stainless is not nearly as thick as your cast iron manifolds, so they do not "deaden" the exhaust sound as much.

What gasket did you use for the header install?

I used the gaskets that came with the dynatech headers. But I am 100% sure this sound is not coming from the header/engine connection leaking

Cool..then like I said..that sound is normal with stainless LT's. The cast iron manifolds deaden a lot of sound the stainless does not.

Im just confused why that sound is coming from the resonator.

If it is in the resonator..something packing wise could be lose inside of it. When the car is cold it rattles, when it heats up, whatever it is expands and cannot move, eliminating the rattle. Maybe something like weld slag came of the headers/cats and is stuck in there?

Honestly, Im hoping it is the resonator, and not the headers. When the flowmaster system gets here, I hope the noise goes away. I didnt do any welding, it was just 100% bolt on, so I dont really know. But it would be nice to be able to go to chevy and ask them whats wrong, but they are completely unhelpful. I have found out with car dealers that: if its not 100% stock, they cant help you.
