love. my. car.

Yeah, no offense, but since the Mustang is so much lighter... it'll probably do well against the Camaro. And since the engine is smaller, it may get better mileage but who cares about that with a V8, haha.

I gotta say that I just don't like it. Everything is too square with the interior.
No character to it. And I hate the tail lights. Really doesn't do anything for me. |

it might be close, but look at when motortrend tested the SS against the gt500. It was pretty damn close. Camaro is better at getting traction.

i guess if the mustang had the rear end like megan fox and kate beckinsale then i would pick the mustang but the rear end of the mustang is i guess that's what i meant car is nice just the rear end has got to go. but i guess ford will have the rear end for 10 yrs like they do with the interior.

I like the mustang, but the as long as the Camaro is in the picture, I do not think I will get another one (unless it looks better than the camaro for the next model, but I doubt it will)

Love the reverse camera. Let the Mustang be the best it can be - ups the competition and ensures GM never takes the public for granted.
However the Mustang needs more curves. Too flat looking, like a sedan. Needs some hips (wide body rear).

Bingo. I couldn't agree with you more. Competition is great on the track and in the design rooms.

Come down to chicago? Since you live there, or so it says in your location, why would you say to come down to that particular place where you live when you were talking about Camaros in general? Obviously there are some Camaros on here that would take the GT500 with no problem, for instance Junkie's... but it seemed you were talking about yourself.

The new Mustang with probably be as fast as the SS to 60, and it will probably handle better as well, but the Camaro will be a close second, and it has style and intimidation that the Mustang just can't match...I would be willing go give up a tenth of a second for what the complete Camaro package, I will admit I really wish Chevy would upgrade their in-car interface to something on par with the nav/phone/ipod system ford has with sync

I'm not worried YET.
A long time ago I had a 440-6pack Cuda', 4-spd. I loved the "Big Block" torque that car had. When I got the new SS Camaro I was pleasantly supprised that the 376 C.I. LS3 felt like it out pulled the Cuda' that I used to have (by a lot!). What will "make or break" the new Stang' in my opinion is it's torque curve and output. It's hard to get both HP and torque out of a smaller engine. At this point we are all guessing. But I do expect the new version of the Mustang to be impressive. |
