GFX
Why not instal yourself or have your buddy who tints and paints do it. Just had our tint done and they did the splash gaurds and side vents for us. Most of these shops have the tools and experience. |

On an SIM Camaro, I'd rather have the SS/RS wheels.
The Chrome wheels really won't add anything visual to the car (my opinion). I would 100% rather have the GFX. |

Pics are not showing up for me.
You can have your stock wheels chromed for $600. Not sure how chrome wheels look on a silver car. Have only seen them on Red & Black cars, & they look great! You may want some contrast with your wheels and car color. Which ground effects are you looking at? If all else fails, send me the money, I can be very decisive when purchasing stuff.

i'd go with GFX...i like chrome, but the GFX package is too sexy IMO, and besides it's winter...can always wait 4 the summer when the chrome will look ALOT better
nevermind, just saw u live in New Orleans...u don't gotta worry about winter lol...but i'd go with GFX |

GFX for sure. If all you're wanting is visual appeal, the GFX will have a more dramatic effect than chrome wheels I would think. And if you're wanting to stick with stock wheels, I'd rather spend $800 on a pair of back wheels from E-bay to put up front so you have 275's all around. Should handle better and you can rotate your tires for longer life.

i love the GFX too but in reality in a couple of years the GFX wont last. They are fragile and wont hold the paint well over time. then they start to fade and look like $#@#$@
just throwing my opinion out there

If your car was a darker color, I would say chrome them. But you got SIM. I agree with you. I think the wheels that are on it now look great!
Another Vote for GFX! |

Ground FX would be last thing for me. I would go with either suspension or exhaust first. But if you want that aggressive look as you were saying, I would definitely look into lower that beast. As you have said, you seem to be happy with the wheels you have on right now which matches the car, and you dont want to get ground fx then it will be like you have to lower it now...so lower first, then exhaust, intake, headers, wheels, maybe gfx....
Guess I'll have to live my dream through you for now...heheheh

Go with the painted GFX. I have the factory GFX on both of mine. I only paid $300 per kit to the dealer to have them painted and intalled.

I ordered the GFX and plan on keeping them unpainted. At the same time the dealer does the installation, I am getting my black stripes painted on- so I think the unpainted GFX on my SIM SS will contrast well with the black stripes. I also will not have to worry about the paint fading or cracking. Remember the GFX material will flex especially if you come a little too close to a curb in a parking lot. I think there are many advantages to unpainted GFX after much consideration... "Silver" will also look more like a race car in my opinion, meaner too!
