LOL.
Depends who was writing the report. :(

The way that article is written makes it seem that they competed all year, and they have an even number of coupes, performance editions, & verts.

Based on those numbers Chevy crushed Ford, and annhilated Dodge. GM knows it, Ford knows it, Dodge knows it, and the writer from Autoblog.com knows it.

The worst part is when the writer claims "and with all of the updates to the 2011 Mustang, we suspect that next year's race won't be nearly as entertaining."

What a POS hatchet job.... how much did Ford pay him to write such garbage?
lol, I didn't intend to get your feathers so ruffled. It is misleading, and that last comment implying the changes to the Mustang are going to make the sales shift toward the 'Stang was a bit much. I don't hate on the Mustang, and I think the upgrades they are making are great for both brands, because competition breeds innovation and improvement. But, I think he will be eating those words come January, 2011.

LOL. It's all good, my ire was directed, or was meant to be directed, at the writer of that pile....

much better than this dead topic, and numbers don't lie... apples to apples the '10 Camaro revival has eclipsed the competition! (Keep it up )

CAMARO = 7,700/mo.
Mustang = 5,550/mo.
Challenger = I've seen some people on the board with 'em.

Keyword here being... American Competition! :flag2:

It's sad that the stangs had to use rebates in order to move their inventory. Based on the average numbers per month, the Camaro would have won easily. Anyway, we all know who won, that's what counts.

Enjoy it while it lasts! Being the new kid on the block the Camaro should sell better. The 3.7 V6 and 5.0 V8 Mustangs next year will most likely put it back on top.

I would agree If they would fix the back end that they screwed up. It was perfect on the 09. A lot of people in my circle was really pissed by that design change. Me so much that I bought a camaro this time around.

Put whatever you want under the hood, but nothing helps the outdated, bloated body!

I've said this once and I'll say it again: I very seriously doubt that a powertrain change would put any vehicle over another sales. If that was the case, then the LS2 GTOs would have vastly outsold the Mustang, which we all know is not reality. The GTOs sold horribly compared to the Mustangs. Now am I saying the Camaro will vastly outsell the Mustang? Absolutely not. Honestly, IMO, it's too close to call next year.

I think these threads on sales comparisons are kinda strange. Of course the Camaro is gonna outsell the Mustang for a while. There's SEVEN YEARS that the Camaro wasn't even produced. That's a lot of sales to make up. This goes back to the "who cares" line of thinking. If the car you like is being produced and you can buy one, great. The Mustang must be held in high esteem around here because someone is always comparing these two cars and trying to point that somehow the Camaro is better (and then getting the thread locked ). If the Camaro is clearly the superior vehicle, the Mustang shouldn't even be mentioned or in the discussion.

Competition is a good thing.

That's why the Mustang is getting new engines.
