That sounds great. Man, these list are growing quickly. I am imagining camera crews like in the movie "convoy"...Ok, showing my age!

Who will be the first to try and moon the camera? There is always one in the bunch...

I know we have a number of people in MD, DC, and Va who plan on going. I think it would be safe to start a location for those north of Fredericksburg. I think the entrance of Spotsylvania Mall in Fredericksburg would be a good meeting point for those north of exit 130B on 95south in Va.

Fredericksburg VA exit 130B off 95 southbound. Two lights on the left at Spotsylvania Mall in front of the main entrance. It has a large space for many cars.
Meet between 9am and 10am. Depart Fredericksburg on Thursday@ 10am.

meeting points afterwards (tentative: TBD as we get closer)
B...Emporia Va around 11:45am and 12pm if all is well on hwy.
C...interstate 95s and interstate 40 NC between 1:30pm and 1:45pm
D...interstate 95s and interstate 20 SC 3:15pm and 3:30pm Gas up.
E...interstate 95S and interstate 26 SC 4:30pm and 4:45pm
F...Savannah Ga, get hotel and eat/socialize then sleep. 6:15pm and 6:45pm

Friday, depart Savannah Ga at 9AM to Valdosta.
Fla interstate 10W and interstate 295 beltway.
open to suggestion on other meeting points?

Drive to Savannah Ga, is 8 hours, and 4 to 5 hours to Valdosta GA.

How is Mass this time of year? I was up in salem at the end of the summer. I loved the area and the weather was fantastic!

Don't make me buy one of those duck hood ornaments from that movie... they looked awesome on the "Deathproof" cars.

It seemed the air quality was much better than Va. The humidity is so high down here it just wears you out. We arrived up there and needed to pull out the heavy clothing. I was impressed with Salem.

For those of you that will be starting with Cyn or I and heading to Knoxville for the night on Thursday, it looks like we will be staying around Farragut, or the Turkey Creek or Cedar Bluff areas. I got the inside from my guy in Knoxville that this will be a good area for our babies. The location is good too as it is south west a few clicks from Knoxville so we will be close to Chat. Only drawback is it will be a little later that we arrive but so be it. It will keep our schedule on better for Friday.

I am open for suggestions as to where. I am meeting up with Mr. Brownstone next week so we can talk about this in more detail as to what are the nice hotels.

Once I get some options we need to think about maybe seeing if we can get a reduced rate if there are going to be a bunch of rooms. Looks like in my group I will probably be needing rooms for the following...
me and my wife, Drew and his wife, Heinz, ssmike, hrpiii... so 5 rooms plus however many Cyn needs for her group or any others that plan to overnight in Knoxville. I will send PMs as time gets closer to when we need to make a decision.

I figure 9am or 10am to meet up at the rest area and we can all caravan up to Valdosta (unless you all would like to invade a local Cracker Barrel in Ocala and then head out).

Let me know

Updated from first page... again.

I added meeting point for Cinci anc Chatt. We still need to pick a hotel in Knoxville and I need some help on a meeting point for ATL.

Junkie... can you do something for me... as if you arent busy enough... but I need a good meeting point near the I-20 and I-285 interchange that can accomodate 30-50 cars meeting there. Any ideas? I don't want to get too far off the beaten path. Wehave tried to limit our meeting points to rest areas. Thanks!

Why did you jump ship? Not that I care, I love all 3 of the American Muscle cars. My garage would have my 2010 SS, a B5 blue manual SRT Challenger and a 2009 GT500. Sorry, not sold on the 2010 'stang. I prefer the body of the 09. My dad has a really nice supercharged 07.

Anyway, of course you are welcome! The more the merrier... and I mean stangs and challys. Makes for a fun weekend! I'd bring both if I could.

Is anyone coming from the Northwest? It is an 8-day event or more but I have been thinking about it. Starting off in Boise, ID!

There is a rest area just over the GA line on 75. We wont actually be coming into Chat. The Chat group is going to have to drive to the rest area and meet us. It looks to be ab out 15/20 minutes outside of chat. It is 1 mile over the TN/GA border.
