Neat possibility, but that isn't what happened. Saleen allowed investors to gobble up so much of his company that when they decided to fire him he couldn't so anything about it. And that is how SMS came to be, Steve Saleen got kicked out of the company her started.

I like design, but then again its only a rendering. However, Steves comments kind of screw it up. As a newbie to this forum and a new Camaro owner.... got her two days ago and loving it!.... I respectfully give my opinion.

This truly is a great forum for Camaro owners!

Using americas muscle (camaro) to make him look better. I mean Saleens... Come on. I like the S7 but the Saleen mustangs themselves are ugly to me, and i dont respect them what so ever. I do like the Roush, but never any respect for saleens.

Just my few words on how i feel.

I think IT'S REALLY CHEAP. ALL THE "SMS" CARS LOOKS THE SAME. THE REAR LOOKS THE SAME AROUND THE MUFFLER AND THE FOG LAMPS AREA IN THE FRONT. THE SAME. I DID NOT BUY A SS CAMARO TO LOOK LIKE EVERYONE ELSE.

THE CAMARO IS IN A SPECIAL CLASS OF IT'S OWN.......A LITTLE AGGRESIVE LOOKING, A LITTLE FINE LOOKING, AND IT HAS BAD ASSSSS CURBS.

I DON'T WANT TO MAKE MY CAMARO LOOK LIKE A MUSTANG OR A CHALLY.....NICE CARS BUT I WANT MY CAMARO.....

I FORGOT TO MENTION THEY ALL HAVE THE SIDE VENTS ON THE HOOD. EXCEPT FOR THE MUSTANG, WHICH HAS THE SIDE VENTS AND A HOOD SCOOPER IN THE MIDDLE.

How much extra, for all the extras? will it even be worth it? or will it be like the lpe camaro with the zr1 motor? for that price just buy the zr1.

I've not really cared for the Saleen Mustangs myself, I think Roush does a much better job especially in the looks department.

I personally would not by a SMS Camaro but here in the D... in the meadows full of Mustangs... I do expect to see a few just because its a Saleen product.

I'll be getting my mods done at Livernois.

Hypocrite, maybe...but I don't think he's buttering up anybody.

He's in the business to modify and sell factory cars. And the Camaro is fair game, as was the Challenger. He has no relations with GM/Chevy that I know of besides as a customer.

i know i never could so if this guy wants to build and sell chevys as well as fords matters not to me.
BUT maybe some one who likes this guys work and was gonna buy a ford now changes there mind and will go for the chevy...well that a cross over sale no matter how ya look at it.

It was a dumb move to insult the car and the community you plan to do business with.
