Looks like your route is going to meet ours in ATL. Maybe you could hook up with us then. 10:30 Friday in ATL.

Looking at the map, it looks like I would hook up with the South Dakota group in Lincoln, Neb. Tough decision because it is a loooonngg drive and a lot of miles on Lola. Tough decision!

about 1400 round trip for me. Heck, Rene` already has either 5600 or 6500 on him now... can't remember which, its been so long since I drove him. Sometimes I uncover him just to look! Twice I even got in.

I know. I go out to the garage and sit in her, turn her on and wait for nice weather. About 2400 miles but what better way to spend time together.

Sweet Lola...Heated seats are great for long trips. I bet the drive will be fantastic. I took mine to Maine, which was 13 hours from Va, and it was some of the best views I have ever seen. This summer I am heading to Albequerque NM from Va. The car is so comfortable it make the drive easy.

Have a great ride. The trip will be worth it.

I don't want to get too far off the beaten path. Wehave tried to limit our meeting points to rest areas. Thanks!

I did want to mention it to you guys that are planning stops, especially as your convoys get larger you should plan your meeting points on the outskirts of big cities, because it's gonna be hard to keep up thru traffic.

Example would be Atlanta, you could meet south of town at Summit Racing, I-75 mile marker 215 in McDonough, Ga. on the east side of the interstate.

If you absolutely want to run 80 Camaro's thru ATL, there's a Petro truck stop on the west side of town, just north of I-20 on I-285.

For the Chattanooga bunch, there's a nice big rest area just a couple miles after the Ga. state line, I-75 mile marker 352.

THANKS! I will look into the Summit Racing. I FOR SURE do not want to go through ATL.

As far as the Rest Area, that is what we are using. The GA welcome center. Seemed like the best spot to me. Then the 75 bunch doesnt even have to get off. The Chat group comes to us...

All of our stops have been planned to avoid cities.

I know we have a number of people in MD, DC, and Va who plan on going. I think it would be safe to start a location for those north of Fredericksburg. I think the entrance of Spotsylvania Mall in Fredericksburg would be a good meeting point for those north of exit 130B on 95south in Va.

Fredericksburg VA exit 130B off 95 southbound. Two lights on the left at Spotsylvania Mall in front of the main entrance. It has a large space for many cars.
Meet between 9am and 10am. Depart Fredericksburg on Thursday@ 10am.

meeting points afterwards (tentative: TBD as we get closer)
B...Emporia Va around 11:45am and 12pm if all is well on hwy.
C...interstate 95s and interstate 40 NC between 1:30pm and 1:45pm
D...interstate 95s and interstate 20 SC 3:15pm and 3:30pm Gas up.
E...interstate 95S and interstate 26 SC 4:30pm and 4:45pm
F...Savannah Ga, get hotel and eat/socialize then sleep. 6:15pm and 6:45pm

Friday, depart Savannah Ga at 9AM to Valdosta.
Fla interstate 10W and interstate 295 beltway.
open to suggestion on other meeting points?

Drive to Savannah Ga, is 8 hours, and 4 to 5 hours to Valdosta GA.
