to stripe or not to stripe, that is the question....
Howdy y'all,
I'm still in the process of selling my rice rocket, and am eagerly looking forward to a new Camaro. I'm definitely set on the Silver Ice Metallic. And due to budget constraints, I'm leaning towards a 1SS/RS. I'd really like to put on the stripes as well, but I'm undecided whether to go with the rally stripes, or the hockey stripes. I know a lot of folks say to get them painted on, but once again money is an issue right now. Any thoughts, or opinions on which factory stripe set looks the sharpest with SIM? Also, any pics of the hockey stripes with SIM would be greatly appreciated. I've looked thru the SIM thread, but I don't recall seeing any with the hockey stripes. I'm sure there must be some proud owners out there, willing to show off their babies!! ![]() Thanks in advance for any help |

The Black Stripes look great with the SIM. Just don't get the "Mustang Stripes" that go all the way to the end of the front facia and rear valance. This will offend several here but those that say they have had their car confused with a Mustang can only attribute it to the stripes. Look at the Shelby GT 500 and and then any Camaro with the same stripes and it's easy to see why it confuses????

http://www.ridergraphix.com/Camaro.html I have no experience with them, but if you do a search, you may find some feedback if you're curious.

I actually am going with stripes that have had some comments about them negatively. Just remember though that you shouldn't care what anyone thinks about what you do to your car for the most part as it is YOUR car. Check out this site as well for stripe packages. I think I will be going with some of their work in the near future as it looks very good! http://www.thecamarodecalstore.com/ |

Sorry you would like to hit me in the face. To each his own and everyone should do what works for them. The stripes are a personal preference and like an a**hole everybody has one including me!!

I had the same issue. I didn't want to run the price of the car up to high, but I wanted some sort of stripes. What I decided was to order the car without stripes to keep the initial cost down. Then, after I get the car and when I save a bit more money, I'll have them painted on the way I really wanted them anyway.

I have a cyber gray and haven't seen the right stripes yet. White seems too light and black may not show up enough. I'm looking for something different. No rush. It looks great as is.
