Not any more than the rest of your car would, if you get it painted correctly.

It's made out of the same material as the front and rear facias that come on the car from the factory. You won't have a problem as long as they are prepped properly. Mine are fine.

I had mine painted and installed as soon as the car came in. I have over 7000 miles with no issues at all.

Is there a reason the GFX don't come painted? I know they are dealer installed but still you think someone either the dealer or GM could make a few extra dollars if people opt the extra cash to paint them

That is way, way too much! It cost me $500 to get mine painted and, of course, the install was included when I purchased th GFX from the dealer. But, I can't image the install would justify that much more cost.

Yeah, something's up with the price. I paid $600 to have them painted. From what I remember, there are two prices concerning the ground effects. Installed and not installed. I believe the price is lower at the GMPP web site, because it doesn't include installation. The difference was not very much, from what I remember.

I've seen several threads concering the cost of getting the ground effects painted. $3700 would be an all time high from what I've seen. Take the last zero off the end, and you're close to what you should pay.

$3700 is the cost for everything. Paint, the kit, and install. Still high?

If you bought them with the car from your dealer then it is included in the price of the GFX. Your dealer should put them on for no cost and he is responsible for doing it right. There are instructions and a video that your dealer should have to show them the correct install and if the don't do it right then they'll have to fix it.

I thought there must have been more to that number.

Check out this thread. They speak about how much the ground effects are. I just don't remember. $3700 does sound too high to me though. If you use the camaro5 search tab though, I'm sure you will learn more.

good luck
