Im a cheap bastage... Z06 wheel question.

So I was looking for a set of C5 Z06 wheels when I decided to check out ebay. I ran across these wheels. It says "set of 4" for $300 new. Will these wheels fit front and rear or just the rear? Any pics of a car with them mounted? Everyone has said they fit, but I have not seen a single pic with them on.

Also found these... no specs on them tho. Are the Hennessey wheels custom made or ZR1 pulloffs?

Its less than a mm off... I have made it work in the past... the car I did it to still drives it daily with the same wheels.

Hennessey wheels are 3-piece forged wheels built by Savini. Not cheap Taiwan-made cast wheels which will probably crack and leave your car stranded.

Uh yeah, like what nine ball said. And you're going to "drag" with these wheels? Correct me if I'm wrong, but wouldnt you want to drag with some smaller wheels other than 19's?

I would be amazed if those wheels fit the 5th gens. First the offset is way too high which would push the wheel in towards the center of the car too far. Second, I doubt 19's let alone 18's would fit around the massive 14 inch rotors and calipers on the camaros.

Im going to leave the part alone where you said that you've run the wrong bolt pattern on other cars before.............

The wheels will fit the rotors and calipers, the bolt pattern is exactly the same as the Camaro (5 X 120.65mm)
or (5 X 4.75"). The offset is the only thing that I would worry about. The Camaro is 35mm offset front and 40mm offset on the rear. I would go to a local shop that specializes in corvettes and do some test fitting.

The bolt pattern is not the same. 5th gens are 5x120... not 5x120.65 or 5x4.75. It is, however, close enough to work with no issues. The spacing is nothing that can't be fixed with a spacer. The 18x9.5 C5 Z06 wheels are "known" to work. Several guys on here claim to run them at the track as drag wheels. 18's can fit and Bogart has the 17" drag package for our cars also... I was looking for pictures of the wheels in the first link installed on a car, and to know if these wheels will clear the front calipers. I understand perfectly the way offsets, spoke angles, bolt patterns, and tire sizes work.

Why do people love, so much, to post bad info???

NineBall - I see you offer wheels. Have you come up with any drag packages for a 5th gen? I am tempted to swap on some GTO rear brakes to open up my wheel options a bit.

mtcwby - We dont have a Vette shop around here... I am thinking a 10mm spacer would correct any issues with backspacing. That would put the wheel 12mm further in than factory on the front and only 7mm inward on the rear. On a small front tire and a 265/40/18 radial, I don't see why it wouldn't work. Thanks! Im going to do some searching around here and try to find a test set.

Both sets of wheels are great. Especially the ZR1 wheels. But that price is for one right? There was nothing that said it was for a set!

Both links were for a set of 4 wheels. First link it says it right below the first 3 pics. Second link says it in the first line of the description.

Drags with a spaced, cast 19" wheel? That just sounds wong bob. Recipe for DNF.
