lets say the camaro gets a little better 7:15 time... well a base 9 11 will still grab it by at least 10-15 seconds

This Porsche Vs. Camaro argument is amazingly off base.

The camaro is a performance car, because thats what matters to the market it aims at the most. The porsche is a German performance luxury car that dominates its market.

And this is for the guy who thinks the 911 is 'rubbish' .. the same guy who id venture to say, has never driven one. let alone owned one.

lol now it is underated....so is the rt numbers....lol last years ls3 corvette had 422 hp maybe you can talk when they say 430 for the 2011 camaro.

Really I think it would depend on the track. If it's a tight turning technical track I think the Porche will win, but a track filled with long straights..... idk

Well...if you made them comparable in cost, then the camaro could win.
Then again, not a whole lot of people are going to spend 70,000 on their SS

No way a muscle car is going to beat a Porsche 'round a track stock for stock.

i think acceleration is were we lose the porsche. so a tight twisty course is were we hope for driver error in the 911

honestly will this car compete with a 911? maybe the small engine and a bad driver. but all in all im more excited that it will pimp slap other cars in its class and price range, and yes that means you challenger. sorry.

do not jinx it....but I definately don't see a ls3 equpped car coming in at anything less than 35 and that is pushing it. look at the g8 gxp...and don't use the limited production of it as an excuse. I am rooting for that price but i doubt it.

the point is what is what we have been told. competitive with mustang. really you cant feel very good though considering that gm stopped trying to compare the camaro to the challenger. Not even worth bringing anymore since it was so lacking. dont get me started on the interior either. the lx platform sucks as a performance vehicle. the GRWDP on the other hand has been hailed as "better at being a bmw 5 series then the actual bmw" have you driven a g8 gt?
