Is that the Escort Passport 9500ix?
Correct, the 9500ix. With GPS and the red light camera database. Best one I've ever owned. Bought the bracket from a vendor on this forum. It's really a nice install.

Remembers and stores all false alarms in the GPS system. My wife doesn't think it works cause it never makes a sound.
When it does, it displays my speed and type of threat.

Both are the top 2 choices...

Bottom line is: do you want to know where your threat is coming from? (V1)
or do you want to store false alarms (GPS) so it doesn't go off all the time? (Escort)

The choice is yours...
Don't forget the complete USA red light camera database. It will speak "Red Light Camera Ahead" when you approach one. And this database can be updated monthly. You download it from he Escort site and the unit has a USB port that you then download it into. Very nice design.

But i enjoy my V1 it has helped out alot in the past, Im not a fast driver by all means but when i do get the itch to open her up then i know i have 50% better chance on not getting a ticket and this sucker will pick cops up miles down the road, I personaly have not tryed any other radar so cant say what one is better.
My understanding is that the V1 has no sideways detection, the side arrows illuminate as a threat transitions from front to back (or back to front), if you look inside the V1 unit there are no side facing detection horns. Don't get me wrong, I love my V1 and have used it for years and done a lot of mods too, I just finished modifying an OEM Camaro mirror for someone by putting the concealed display inside.

Hehe,... I want one that just detects from a fairly decent distance. To tell you the truth it could be just a Plain Box with a Red Light in it just as long as it Detects when there is Radar/Laser around.

Will a Laser Radar Detectors Detect Laser if it's being shot at Another Vehicle or Only at Your Vehicle?

Who is the Vendor?
I believe that if i'm going to invest the money in to getting a Radar/Laser Detector that costs 5 Franklins I think i would want the feature of GPS, I think thats pretty cool that it knows how fast your going and announces that theres a Red Light Camara ahead.

This is with the 9500ix Correct?
I think i read that when you buy 1 new one you ONLY get 90 Days worth of Free Updates & Downloads, Then I'm guessing you have to pay for the Updates & Downloads.
Did I understand that Correctly?

This sounds like a Bad Ass Detector.
