Here is TAG's picture. They are the SS gauges, but you get the idea. You can see the MPH above the km/h., other stuff as well.

That just got me to thinking. If I drive around, sometimes is MPH, and sometimes in km/h, I assume the PCM or whatever the acronym is today will have to calculate the difference of distance traveled in whatever range it currently ISN'T displaying and add them in so the TOTAL odometer reading would be accurate. COOL!

You can get an aftermarket guage overlay that will change the color. It's more popular with sport trucks and sadly... Ricers. But I think if done right, will look good on the Camaro with the different interrior options.

Here's an example.

This one's for Pink.

Kewl pix! Thx for sharing all.

A few comments on the speed gauges if I may...

It doesn't display both MPH on top and KMH on the bottom. The bottom (red) line continues the reading from the above (white) line, so the above line displays the even numbers and the below line the odd ones. It 's the same reading, split in two lines.

160 must be the MPH, it would be soooooo slow if it was KMH (my wife's Nissan Micra 1400cc does more than 180 KMH).

I know I've mentioned this before in other threads, so I just wanted to clearify for everyone.....

GM speedometers are now electronically calibrated. They use one set of numbers (instead of the tiny print for km/h), and to recalibrate it you go into the DIC and select metric. When you do that, it adjusts your fuel computer and exterior temp to metric, as well as the speedo. You can actually drive the car at 40 mph, in english, and when you select metric, you can actually see the speedo needle instantly jump to around 60. Pretty cool

Kind of off the topic, but as I've gotten older and came to understand that we're the only ones in the world not using metric, I think we should. I mean, what makes more sense, the boiling point of water at 100 degrees or 212 degrees??? Or, as the most common performance measurement of a car, timing its acceleration 0-100 or 0-62???

I agree. It's a pain in the royal behind trying to convert for engineering, construction, or design purposes...the only measurements the US uses that's the same throughout the world are those related to electricity.

Anyways...still a cool feature that I never thought about before!

No kidding. However, inches and pounds are more useful in many situations. At work we use imperial measurements for all our designs and calculations. Inches and fractions of inches are more precise than mm when measuring with a tape or rule. And pounds are a unit of force, which is more useful than mass in nearly all situations. However, please convert to the Celsius scale. Water freezes at 0, boils at 100. Simple.
