Arrow First & Second Oil Change

So my car has about 950 miles on it right now, and I'm planning to change the oil at 1000 for the first time. My question is when should the second oil change be?

Yes, kind of personal, within limits of what the DIC tells you. Did my first around 1500, doing my second around 5000 - I think the DIC says 60% remaining at this point and I am very close to 4000 miles.

I put about 3000 miles per year on my SS. I did my first oil change at 500 miles. I will change the oil twice per year with with Mobile One or a good alternative unless my miles increases. Once early Spring and then mid to late Fall.

my camaro has 4600 miles the car says the oil life is 53%. i took it to the dealer because about every 5th time i start it i hear a rattle from the passenger side of the engine. it is my belief that it a lifter collapse. it ticks on start up when its cold but it has always done that, that doesn't worry me. the dealer says it is normal expansion noise. i hope not. we don't really see eye to eye on it. i have a good amount about of automotive knowledge to know that is not normal expansion noise on a high performance engine.

I did mine at 500 miles and again at 1500. I drove for about 170 more miles after that, then I put her down for the winter. I'll change it again in the spring when I bust Her out of hibernation. AFter this spring time oil change I'll just do it every 3000 or before the next time I put her away again.
