Trust me I can drive it, speed is what I like. When I was younger the cops would pull me over and run my name, it sounded like a popcorn machine. DMV had my license longer than I did. Also had a suzuki 750 thought I would impress my girlfriend by laying it down and popping the pegs in those tight corners, wasn't impressed. She married me a year later but made me sell the bike.

If it gets a V6, which is just what I'm guessing "base model" means, it will still amaze you. We're talking about the 304-hp LLT V6. This V6 dominates in the Cadillac CTS, and it will allow the Camaro LS to run the quarter mile in a better time than a 1969 Camaro SS.

A 2010 Camaro V6 will make your jaw drop. A 2010 Camaro V8 will make you replace your pants.

Thanks for that insperation but I would like the v8 so that I can promote it. I guess after tonight and talking with all of you I can come to the conclusion that we are not sure what the interior is, we are not sure what the motor is, we are not sure what the paint is and we are not sure what the base price is.
I believe we are sure that it will be a standard for sure.

I'm guessing since the link said it was a production model with a replica Bumblebee paint scheme, and there are only three of them made, it will indeed be custom paint that could very well be $10,000 value. It also said January '09 and take possession within 30 days at a local dealer. Could that mean they could go into procuction before February?

I was gonna put in a little shaking-his-head-no smilie. I don't think Bumblebee will be a stripped V6. 40,000 is not the price of the car. It was a guestimate put there just to put a number there. I know for a fact that Scott said it would be a loaded car. And I'd place my bets that the 3 most iconic and collectible Camaro's produced this year will be V8's.

I was under the assumption that $40k was the set value, so I did some math.

$22k Camaro LS + $10k paint & stripes + $1k auto + $2k Bumblebee interior= $35k ($5k budget for performance parts, options, other stuff)

$29k Camaro SS + $10k paint & stripes + $1k auto + $2k Bumblebee interior = $42k (overdraft budget)

By the way, you chopped off my face, so you owe me another one!
