I think I almost wet myself

hehe, j/k! :p

I had also heard that the exhaust was definitely staying, in fact I think it was from an article someone had posted on this site... I hope so anyway!!! I loooooove it!

Yeah, I plan on at least doing that if it's not menacing enough for my tastes. I agree with the little less rasp would be good for everyday driving, but the rasp is for when you're in the mood for raw power without refinement. It's just a mentality.

The article you mentioned ascamarochick is the one I was referring to where they tried over 12 different exhaust systems to find the right tone. I was asking if they were trying to recreate that tone, or if that was the finished exhaust system going into production.

Either way you will probably get a ticket in VA for your stock exhaust. The laws there are retarded for exhaust. I had a friend get pulled in his stock SRT4 for his exhaust and still got the ticket even after going to court with paperwork from dodge saying the exhaust was stock and hadn't been altered in any way. The judge told him that Dodge shouldn't have made suck a loud car and hit him with an $85 fine. It's basically police discretion on whether your exhaust is okay or not. If you drive any kind of performance automobile, you are a target.

so how is that supposed to work, keeping the right tone throughout the throttle range... isnt it supposed to have the AFM shutting down half the cylinders when "not needed...." to save gas? who cares if its "needed" i want my hot rod to sound like a hot rod whether im idleing or runnin down the road... that will probably be my first mod, finding a way to temporarily disable that crap so my car sounds like it should... all the time. as far as cops screwing with you over exhaust.... doesnt seem to be a problem around here that i've ran into *yet* probably will now after saying that, even though i've been alllll over the place around here with my car the way it is now for almost 2 years..... my 95 6er has had a huge hole in the muffler since the day i got her, actually doesnt sound half bad for a 6 that way either... actually sounds better than the other Camaros and Firebird 6ers around here with expensive mufflers. I even have them compliment it and ask what Im running cause they want to change theirs out for what I have... I have to laugh an just tell them to take a peek under the bumper. The holes probably 10 inches around. I dont know why the previous owner did it, but you can tell it was intentionally put there. I'll probably have to replace it when i get around to knocking the crap out of the cat. converter, its startin to get plugged up and i'll pay for a cheapo muffler before i buy a new cat for this thing. **edit** I just dont see the reason for spending the money for a performance/louder than stock exhaust for a 6er unless its had enough engine mods to need/ compliment the louder exhaust.

I'd rather it sound a little something like this.

BTW. Second and third are a doozy.

Edit: NSFW warning. Swearing is a very common part of their vocabulary.

I've seen the race videos from home camcorders, but that vette is SICK FAST. It didn't just take off, it was GONE. I'd love to know what he did under that hood.
