Question Will the 5th have the infamous recording black box?

I've read some car companies are installing data recorders in cars now (black boxs), anyone concerned about this in the Camaro?
Supposely, a Nissan GTR customer just canceled his order because he didn't like the idea that his driving habits could be used to invalidate warranty claims, insurance denials, or legal issues in the event of a crash.
The owner does have to give consent, however, a court order can be obtained if they refuse.
If you could figure out how to turn it off, would that invalidate a warranty claim? I'm not a lawyer, but it seems like owners have less and less to say about what they do with their own cars.

I think most new cars will. Not to the extent of the GT-R as they are only supposed to record just prior, during and just after an airbag deploys.

Yeah i thought some cars had that but it only held like 30 seconds of info for the example of getting in a wreck so they couls see speed and other kinds of diagnostics of the car.

I believe most cars have some sort of data recorder for crash investigation purposes.

Nah, I think it's just a case of CYA for vehicle manufacturers and insurance companies.

I remeber reading something a few years back about a guy who got in trouble because the black box in his LS1 Trans Am told a different story than him. I'm pretty sure if the late 4th gens had it the 5th gen will too.
I found the article http://www.theautochannel.com/news/2...18/161529.html

As long as I'm assigned a Z28 with an LSA I won't complain
