So what does the Transformers Edition actually do to the look of the car? I saw someone's car that had bumblebee on the hood, and then the TF icon or icon in the front middle of the black stripes. Also the icon is on the wheels and it is stitched in the arm rest on the inside...anything else?

didn't see that thread before... seems like a lot of hate for the TF option.

If nothing else, I'm easily the coolest dad in my kids pre-K class.

Everyone has their own taste---the Transformers Edition is cool and helped sell Camaros to non- enthusiasts

I really like the stripes on the TF ed.

the lettering is well done.

they did a good job with it...i just wish it was the color from the movie...that yellow is waaaaay too bright for me to drive around here, it would just scream out "hey cops, look at me!!!" lol

They really blew it on this IMHO. Not that the current Transformers Edition is bad per say, but it's really quite a waste of $1000 and a let down of what it could have been instead of a few extra badges and a stripe.

The on screen Camaro:

Really sweet hood, nice front spoiler, different rims, new exhaust tips.

Now while many of us didn't expect a replica, we did hope for something like this. If GM had offered this up instead I think it would have been much better received. Not knocking anyone who has one, but it's the reason why many of us said "meh"

I agree, If GM had gone with that color and hood stripes I would have pulled the trigger on that version. Now my daughter is upset because Bumblebee is her favorite Transformer character. So I'll be happy with my IOM for now...

Yes, I would have liked my Camaro to look like that but the parts are not even available to put on the car, so how was GM to do this? I don't think it is fair to compare ours to the Transformers 2 movie. These cars require a lot of planning and fore site so I don't think it was possible to make them look like TF2. Plus they used another prototype for the movie that is based on what is supposed to be the Z model. GM still has not decided on what the mass production car final look will be yet. You should be comparing our cars to the first movie car.

Isn't it funny how they always pull up the second movie's model?

Personally, I'm happy with how the TE is. If it had that body on it, I'm not sure I'd buy it, that's looking like a lot of fun "car, meet speedbump" time.

I'm happy with mine also. Gets a lot of looks, my kids absolutely adore the car (which was important to me also), and it's fun as hell to drive.

Honestly, if it wasn't for the kids I would have probably gone another route with the Camaro. But hearing them yell Bumbleebee when I pick them up from somewhere is priceless. It's not my daily driver, it's my fun car - and it meets and exceeds that need for me.
