Corvette isn't going anywhere. It's ridiculous for anyone to think it is.

Hard to justify the price tag.

Cheaper to buy a camaro & supercharge.

Still love the vette, now if they would put the LS9(6.2) 620hp in production...

I know some will look at this from a narrow perspective and go "hey, see the Corvette sucks!!! Selling in very low numbers"

But if you broaden your view just a teeeny tiny bit, you will remember that the Corvette is not a need but a want. And over the past year and a half, a lot of "I wants" have had to wait.

Look at Harley Davidson..............they ended Buell and sold their new Italian brand they had just purchased. Why? No one is blowing money on toys right now. And the Corvette and other performance cars are considered toys.

This has a lot more to do with the economy than it does with the Corvette.

And I respect your thoughts on it looking like a C5, but having worked on the C6, it is too different in too many ways to be be considered a C5 without the pop up headlamps. Where it is similar (not identical) is in the powertrain and chassis. But even the purists thought it was a C5.5, not a C6, so that argument will probably never be resolved.

We'll never know. Stingray concept is nothing more than a concept.

Corvette ZR1
6.2L LS9
638 hp
604 ft-lbs

Cheaper to buy a Camaro and supercharge. How does that do anything to help the Camaro's handling? The Corvette is a sports car. Its about more than just raw acceleration.

Are you saying they should put the LS9 in the 'Vette? If so...see ZR1.
If you're saying they should put the LS9 in the Camaro, I agree that would be pretty sweet. I'm sure I wouldn't be able to afford one, but it would still be cool.

I hope the Vette is around for a long time to come. I love the way the car looks. It's just a bad economy right now.

People are still buying them though - Less than invoice - $5000 in incentives makes for a great deal on the MANY left over 2009's out there.

Remember that a bad year for a Corvette would still be an amazing year for any other sports car.
