Being a Corvette owner I tried the Camaro SS and they don't compare in speed. So if your taking it to a track the Vette is what you want. The Camaro will be more of any every day car and one you will take out in rain and snow. My Vette dosn't come out in rain (if I can help it) never snow.

2 different Beasts, 2 incredible cars, both are Bad Ass!

Good Luck it's nice that you will be getting a great car either way!

C6 vs 2010 Camaro SS

Hello everyone, I belive the decision should be based on your personel needs. I had a C6 with only a Borla exhaust and although the car was great, I needed more room so I purchased the RS/2SS. With a few additions to my purchase (ARH w/cats, borla exhaust, LMR CAI, tune, eibach springs and Lexani wheels) I've found myself to be happy with my decision.

I think there is a very good chance we are going to trade the C6 for a ZR1

I'm wrestling with this now. Been stuck at 1100 for too long and just happened to have found a 08' 4LT Vette I really like for about the same money. Dang. Now what?

Get a '95 Civic hatchback. Do an engine and suspension swap. There's your lightweight car.

Lightweight + LSx = win.

The modifications I have done to the GTO on an LS2 C6 coupe would net me at least 10mph faster traps. Weight ftl.

The used Corvette wont have the tech advanced features that the Camaro has (e.g. PDIM, Bluetooth etc.)

Used vette is no doubt much quicker and a better handler, but it will also be more expensive to maintain (think tires) and is not the head turner that a Camaro is today.

If you don't need a back seat, get the 'vette. It's a WAY better performance vehicle, similar or less money.
