the AFM/DOD setting via the predator/trinity is only an on/off setting...

if you want to make some DOD/AFM enhancements - as far as having it stay on longer, when it's allowed to engage, etc etc - you would need to get a custom tune for that...

I've done it for several people/vehicles...

you can do it either way...

would just need to do new data logs and get your fueling adjusted/dialed in so that your average LTFT's are in the 0 to -2 range to get the best throttle response, acceleration, pull, and mileage...

here's info on how to do all that:

yeah, $599 for Trinity are what everyone's selling them for...

but the Predators-- do you offer price-matching for customers?? is that what your "gauranteed lowest price" is?

no... there is currently no TCM/tranny support... so no tranny adjustments like shift points, shift pressure, shift speed, etc etc can be adjusted yet...

Confirmed with Diablo that on the Camaro they have to reduce the Torque Managment and adjust the fuel and timing tables to get the horsepower gains they advertise.

well, the torque management on the engine side of things is reduced/removed... but not for anything in the TCM/tranny...

tcm/tranny support is not available yet...

When tuning your camaro m6, can you go back to stock settings if you need to take it in to dealer for any reason? Is there usualy a extra charge for custom tunes?

yes, you can go back to stock/original GM tune anytime you want... just go to OPTIONS > TROUBLESHOOTING > RESTORE ORIGINAL BACKUP and the stock original GM tune is flashed back to your car...

yes, there is usually a fee associated with custom tunes... how big or how small depends on how much the tuner charges... usually anywhere from $78 - $175 for a custom tune via email... more if you physically go somewhere with your car and get a custom dyno tune, since you'll need to pay for dyno time as well...

As Mike just mentioned in another thread:

"so far we have not seen any realistic gains from a tune in our testing on stock vehicles. I would venture to say that there may be some gains to be had with the headers and CAI, but I have no way to say for sure as of right now.

We are still investigating how to bring this product to market, perhaps it will not have any canned tunes, but rather a few adjustable parameters (tire size, speed limiter, WOT timing, WOT fuel, rev limiter, etc) and the ability to be custom tuned at one of our CMR dealers?

I'm open to suggestions from you guys at this point... "
