I want both performance and "advertised" mileage! I drove 550 miles this weekend mostly interstate. According to the DIC, the tank with 100% interstate and cruise set on 75 averaged 21.4 mpg. Again, I want to see 26 mpg on the highway if I am behaving myself.

Been getting 11 MPG around town. I don't get my '99 Z-28's LS1's mileage, but like the extra HP.
Yeah...that alcohol they add has half the MPG as gasoline. 90%/10% gas/alcohol blends will give 95% the MPG of real gasoline. Hey we didn't get these to worry about fuel economy or $500 tires. We got 'em for FUN.

Then you will have to set your cruise to 60 or 65.

I was averaging about 18 miles a gallon before I stored it away for the winter.

wow, I can't believe the *good* mpg you all are getting. Seriously.

Since having mine for around three months, I am always averaging about 10.5 in the city. If I take it on interstate and drive it like a grandma in 6th gear on cruise control, I can get around 24mpg.

As for miles per tank -- I'm averaging around 200, I think.

Needless to say, I've been whining alot about the 10.5mpg I'm getting in the city. I tend to put about 1500 miles per month on the car, so I'm spending just under $100 bucks per week for gas. I love the care, but I've really started wondering if there's a problem or if it's because I have a nasty lead foot. I asked the dealership and they kinda blew me off by saying, "well, if you're getting 24mpg on the interstate then everything is fine."

At 10.5 mpg, I'm not sure everything is fine.

I drive my 2SS mostly in the city and also average about 10.5 MPG. After some bolt-on performance mods, I'm going to get it tuned. I suspect the car is probably running overly rich. I have 1200 miles on her now.

Pushing the gas pedal a little closer to the floor instantly erases any memory of what it just cost me to fill upwith 93 octane.

DAMN, 10.5, you are a lead foot. You make my 14.7 look like if I am driving like a GRANNy. It might go lower when I get my KB super on it.

I just returned from a 1473 mile road trip. The car now has 2009 miles ie past the magic 1500 mile break in point!

I set the cruise at 75 mph and hit 85 mph while passing. I hit 90 mph a couple of times by accident (too many hwy patrols in Florida and Alabama).

Average calculated mileage for the entire trip was 19.65 mpg. The best mileage according to the DIC was 23.4 mpg on the last tank.
