Hey Junk,
I have used the dual bucket grit gaurd wash system including 2 Adams wash mitts, a foam gun with Adams soap, and use one of those blowers to dry the car. After doing so I use Adams MF towels to buff it with their detail spray. I dont use a circular motion so I do not have swirls, but there are very light scratches throughout the entire vehicle. It seems that Ive done everything I am supposed to, I rinse the car to get the big dirt off, I foam it down and let it soak, I start at the top of the car and work down and I rinse the mitt after each panel. So what could be the cause of this? the only thing I can think of is the mitts?

![]() After correcting the scratches that you see now (which should easily come out with FMP and the white pad), do your next wash using the green mitts. See if you get the same results. Make sure you rinse those mitts really well as you're washing around the bottom of the car. I still use my green mitts as I am torn between which give me the better results. I too saw some scratching so you are probably not doing anything wrong. If I find the wash pads to be the problem, I will have Adam go with something else.

Yea it is crazy how bad the paint on GM cars are. You can literally touch the paint on these cars and cause scratches, same way on my cobalt, thats why it takes me 1.5 hrs. just to wash the car. I hate to say it but the best paint I have seen is on hondas.

Hahah. It's true tho, we had an 06 civic traded in at our dealer and the paint was still like new. And it was old person owned so it wasn't taken care of to good.

The dealership uses the same sloppy old towel to dry your new car off that they just used to dry off that used beater that just came in. Same sponge too. And your new 'maro has been in the holding lot waiting on train, on the train (rail dust), then a car carrier.... lotsa crap sitting on the paint before they take that nasty sponge and run it all over your car. And most of them have never heard of a "clay bar" (children and artists play with clay)Gruesome nightmare!

This true for most dealers. I actually care about the cars and get paid to care, I take and pressure wash each new car wash them with a new car mit, clay and wash and wax every new car hear. Now we do have a couple 8.00 dollar an hours that don't care, but I still do all the more expensive cars

Meant no offense. Just wish your work was in the majority of dealers. .That's all.
