It is not a moddified version of the 5.0, it is an alluminum version of the iron block, which utlimately is related to back Ford GT block which traces its roots to the F-150. It has aged and ultimitely on its way out the door.

Oh yes. I had forgotten the nature of the game. I JUST found this thread because I couldn't log on for over 36 hours (shocker, right?)...and it already had 300ish hits by people (including me) who haven't a darn clue what this thing is. Hehehehe -- there I go again....

Well...I for one am ready and waiting for the release of the GT500-killer. Because you KNOW they aren't going to settle for second. I don't know how they're gonna do it...and I can't begin to guess...but it's gonna happen as per my sig.

While I favor the Camaro, I do give credit where it is due. When it comes to F.I. V8 Mustangs Ford creates awesome built from the factory to take punishment forged out V8s for there communtiy to go to town on and still be reliable. Thats why if the Z/28 is F.I. I want the LS9, if its N.A. I hope for a D.I. Version of the LS7 (though I know that one is wishful thinking).

You're right....

Here goes:

No scoop, or even a hood bulge.
No rear brake-duct intakes...
It's white

and the exahust is said to be "blaring".

Obviously, it's a Turbo 4-cylinder test-mule.

I want a Z28 as much as the next guy/gal, this is just food for thought:

1. Photo is not dated, even in the article, could be the original SS on the test track?
2. Why would a photog just give the photo away, versus making a buck on these "exclusive" photos with a big name magazine?
3. Those with an SS, other than the Z28 badge, you got the best "value" on the road as far as muscle cars go...the added cost of the Z will result in diminishing returns (value) for your money (versus hot-rodding your SS to your liking).

Again...just thoughts...

The article is Camaro5-written. And dated in the OP.
2. Why would a photog just give the photo away, versus making a buck on these "exclusive" photos with a big name magazine?
Nobody said they were given away...

I wonder at this...with all the added 'stuff' they're going to put into this car (supposedly)...I'd say it would be the same value at a different level.

Again...just thoughts...
In blue above...
