im sorry but i cant see this as a the new facelift because that can be done inside with clay.
this can possibly be a track pack option for the ss there now testing out. still doesnt explain the camo... cough*z28*cough

I'm beginning to wonder if it wouldn't be cheaper to take my current 2SS and add a LS9 or LSA Engine, Functional Hood Scoop, 4th Gen SS Wheels and New Z/28 Front Bumper instead of trading in my SS? I bet I would save thousands! Let's not forget ... around here if your driving 150 klms / hr and get caught! ... You loose both your ride and your licence. I think I will stick with my original 2SS and save a lot of dough!

So there is no way in the lords heaven that this particular mule is an SS touting a upgraded engine like the SC'd LSA !! I am miffed at how they can still carry the 2SS with another model on top of it especially when GM will have to throw another upgrade in for the 2SS driving it's cost up from the $43 CAD right now . So we are looking at a $45K 2SS or $50K as a ragtop! where do you put the Z28 ??? A new Z will have to price at around somewhere close to the $60K (SS with suspension mod and a supercharged LSA) !! I tell ya it doesn't make sense...... Please GM , tell us what's up!!

The Zed Twenty Eight

Hmmmmm ..... My 2SS was 43K , I am putting 10K into a SC and exhaust/header mod in March and another 3-4K cam and heads with 2-3K in the suspension next year, That brings her close to the 60K mark. Should "I" have waited !!! Argueably, I think the 6 Gen Camaro lineup will be the most exciting ! I believe it will be time for the big 8 to move over to allow introduction of 6 cylinder engines with , yes folks , "twin turbos" !!

I don't mean to piss on your parade...but the first Camaro mule was spotted nearly a year and a half before the start of production...assuming this car is a Z28 mule (still no "proof" )...there's no guarantee it'll be available for purchase anytime soon.

I heard from a reliable source (my freinds dad knows a guy who's neighbor had a customer who had an ex-girlfreind that worked with a guy who talked to a lady on a bus that was the dental hygenist for a man that once went to Detroit to an auto show with some people who read a book about GM) that the Z28 was coming out in 2011.

So it has to be true.

IIRC they did offer the Z28 package in '67 and about 800 units were sold.

The facelift in '68 was so minor as to be almost unnoticeable, elimination of vent windows, minor grille change, etc., far less than the typical yearly facelift most cars had gotten up to that point. The '69 facelift was the major one of the two. Go back and look at say the Impala from 1958 to 1964, the only years that were close in design were the '59/'60, all the rest in those years had substantial changes from year to year.

I believe he was talking about the exterior cosmetic changes between those years, not whether the z28 was available or not.

Correct-a-mundo. The model year changes were what I was referencing, not so much the Z28 platform, which was available 5 months after production start in September 1966

Wasn't the z28 only available as a package though instead of an actual model, which wasn't available as a model until the 1969 model year?

This thread isn't about deminishing current models.

So who do current Camaro owners thank for the '10 model? I bought two 4th Gens, so should I be thanked too? I think not...
