Just got my Camaro Wednesday evening and I already have been trailed by more police officers than I've ever been used to. They see me and stop what they are doing and quickly do a 180. I also love it how they ride your bumber the entire way, especially if they are in unmarked cars (unmarked Chargers are extremely common around here).

no man it is not just me, 44 yrs without a violation and never pulled over and since I got this camaro I have been pulled over 5 times. I knew when I bought this camaro it would stand out, but to be pulled over this many times is bordering on harrasment. Only bumblebee on the lower eastern shore to my knowledge, I have always been polite and always set cruise on highway.

You have to keep in mind that when a retailer sells you tint the paperwork with it may say 35% or whatever but there's no regulations to enforce what they tell you. They could say 35% and it could actually be something different...also take into account your windows already come with tinting which does add to whatever amount you have added. Also remember the officer has to actually stop you to check what the actual reading is with a tint meter...any tint against a yellow car will look darker as you pass another car.
Gotta pay the price to play.

Thanks I have had a lot of nice cars that could have been pulled over but have not. reds, white, purple metalic, tinted windows in all of them. the officer even said it was a magnet. I guess the cops have solved all the major crimes on the lower eastern shore and have nothing better to do.

This was after I showed him my military ID and explained the extension to him. But to stay on topic yeah Red/orange/yellow = you should just pull over before they hit the lights.
Boy isn't that the truth.

Desparate times call for Desparate measures

Let me tell you I feel your pain.I have been tailed and pulled over now three times in the last year.Once two weeks ago by a local small town cop whom stated he tailed me outside of town 55 mph limit into the edge of town where the limit changed to 35 mph posted on top of a overpass bridge.Tailed me A distance of 1 mile from point A to where he pulled me over.Result no ticket.Previous time same town different cop and no ticket also. The Last time a state cop pulled out of the local post, made a u turn in the middle of the main hwy.and immediately pulled me over.Got real nasty & cocky right off.I told my wife to not talk to him as he was mad as hell.I knew it would escalate if I talked anymore.Said nothing more just nodded in response.Check my license and registration and gave me a verbal warning for my tint and let me go.All this is that they are looking for a reason to pull people over hoping that they can find something to write to generate a steady stream of revenue.Anyone that stands out will be suspect.I haven't been stopped until now in 30 + years and have had no tickets.Perfect record. We are marked.Just like the old gun slingers!! Ha! Ha!

I do believe there is something the theory... I think color impacts a persons (lawman or otherwise) image of the driver, especially when there is little other information. (we're all a little prejudice, even if we don't know it)

We can't help but put our own imagination to work, even with only little bits of information to go on... its a Camaro... its bright Yellow... Tinted windows. See, even with that little bit of information we have already drawn some sort of a picture of who could be behind the wheel. It's human nature... or just plain natural.

But in the end, I don't think good lawmen make critical decisions based on color or any one element of a situation. Hence, lawful good!
Thanks great comment. I am 60 yrs old could not afford one when I was younger and now damit I am just trying to enjoy my car.

Yeah, I read it. Just trying to help you see why your going to stick out to some...isn't that overall what you want? to be noticed...it is a sexxy car and it will be noticed. You never mentioned if he checked it with his meter to see what the real reading is...I am willing to bet it's lower than 35% regardless of what the papers say or take into account.
