It's a national program, so it is available in Tulsa....and thank you for your service, both past and present!

Ok, Here is a question for those that have used the USAA discount. I am a member of USAA, Honorably discharged from the US Navy in 2001. The flyer online says to go to a gm incentive website to get a GO Code and then take that code and my proof of USAA membership to the dealership. When I tried to register to get my go code it asks for my military status and the only options are Active or Reserve. Is there some place else that I need to go to get the GO Code or do I just go ahead take my proof of USAA Membership to the dealer and let him do the leg work for the Go Code?

Thanks for the help.

Hopper. Thanks for clearing that up. I would never try to scam the system by any means. I was just going off of what was exspressed on the forum using the print screen for proof of membership. I didnt find out that the rules had changed until a few weeks after my purchase. I have much respect for all current and past military personel and there families and would hate to see them lose this great program designed for them. Although it would suck to have to pony up $750 months after my purchase I would gladly do it to keep the program open for what it was intended for.

It's in the auto loan section

http://usaa.zag.com/promo1.html?prom...iewer.promo.gm

Here's the link or just go to your dealer w/ your membership card. You don't have to get a code or any other approval. The dealership will handle it once you show proper membership credentials

Sir,

It's best to just give USAA a call and talk to someone. I found this to be a good way to let them (USAA) know what your plans are so they can get the ball rolling once they receive the paper work from the dealership/GM.

Just make sure you have your membership or insurance card when you head to the dealership.

Trust me... there's no reason to call USAA for this one. It's a GM rebate.

Unless you are doing your loan through USAA which is also a good idea...

All,
Per the GM discount/incentive site:

††† A USAA membership card, USAA loan document, printout of the USAA.com account profile page or proof of USAA auto insurance will be required as proof of eligibility at the dealership. Not available with some other offers. Prior purchases are not eligible. Take delivery by 12/31/10. See dealer for details.

Not sure why that verbage is different than the wording on my internal documents, but this part..."printout of the USAA.com account profile page"...was taken out on 1-15-2010. That profile page is no longer acceptable documentation.

Do you have a link?

All I can say is Bank_Robber, Camaro Scotty & Hopper are 100% correct. If you don't qualify for FULL membership... Insurance, Loans and all... then you don't qualify for this GM incentive period. Whether your dealer mistakenly gives it to you or not.

Thanks to all of you for the great information. I sent an email to USAA and got a "positive" response back that the $750.00 USAA discount is still a "go." I also called my dealer and he agreed that the discount was good and that I'd receive it off the already agreed-upon price. All is good in Tulsa Town. I also heard from GM (via email) that my new Camaro 2SS was put on a train on February 18th and is headed to Oklahoma City... Yahoo!!!

The link is:
http://www.gm.com/vehicles/currentoffers/

Scroll to the bottom and read the fine print.

I am fortunate that I qualify fully for USAA benefits. I just inked a deal with the dealer here for a 1SS today. I printed my USAA profile page out directly for them and that was all they needed. BTW my profile page lists my military service history.

I also heard from USAA that the discount is a 'GO'. I had a 3-way telephone conference with my customer and a USAA representative. She told me that I can give the customer the rebate and that it is good, however he is not eligible for full USAA benefits. She is wrong and so are the other USAA reps who are telling people this. The dealer is not going to be reimbursed if they give this discount to a customer that does not qualify.

My direction from GM states..."CUSTOMER MUST BE A MEMBER OF USAA AND PROVIDE DOCUMENTATION OF MEMBERSHIP (USAA MEMBERSHIP CARD, USAA LOAN DOCUMENT OR USAA AUTO INSURANCE CARD) TO QUALIFY FOR THIS OFFER."

The printout of the accounts page is no longer valid.
