We knew this would happen its no Suprise. I'm Sure Mustangs will out sell the Camaro this year GOOD just more mustangs you will see at every street light therefore when someone see's a Camaro it wont be like oh look there is ANOTHER ONE
Maybe it will give a lot of those people back at the ford plant there jobs back.

Obviously the 2011 Mustang will outsell the 2010, going from across the board embarrassingly out of date powertrains to modern and very competitive powertrains. It's obviously going to be real competition for the Camaro but as to which will sell best, that depends on how complacent GM is for 2011. With two solid competitors like this though wouldn't be surprised to see them both top 100k in MY 2011 sales.

In all fairness, I will say it'll be nice to have some well powered mustangs on the road. I think 98% of the stangs I see here in Vegas are 2001-2005 era V6. I see a few GT500 in certain parts of town and some Saleen and Cobra models here and there. But for the most part, its all "My Little Ponies". It will be an interesting year for Ford and Chevy sales. The Camaro sales may ebb a little since the majority of the long time fans have already purchased theirs.

Seriously though, I think we have more Mustang owners on this website than any other Mustang forum.

The price is pretty close when you add the Brembo kit to the Mustang. However, there is more of markup on the Mustang. Hence making the Mustang cheaper since you can get a 2011 GT for $300 over invoice at a lot of dealers.

Don't kid yourself. We just come here since it's the best 5th gen Camaro site out there. A lot of us like to mix it up with Camaro and Challenger owners.

So I can only imagine how a 2010 Mustang V6 or GT owner must feel. Every company has done this at some time this happened to me with my Vette when they went from 6.0L to 6.2L 4 years ago.

Yea the deal killer with the mustang gt i was lookign at was they wouldnt put on the ford racing supercharger.. didnt want car without it.. too slow.. traps 104mph...
Camaro SS slower then id like but I can live with it till I can get supercharger on.. When I decided to save the money and go with Camaro over GT500 figured Id just wait then in year put supercharger on Camaro SS. Shoudl take it to atleast 525wHP (615HP).. then should be a lil better..
My last car trapped 126mph in the quarter.. So of course this car is going to feel slow but I know its not bad.. It beats highway pulls wise all the cars in its class in 2010.. when I was shopping.. just couldnt come up with the money for the $48K GT500.. though it is a dream.. I never looked at vettes cuz the 2 seater thing

I'm curious to see the magazine tests. Because if the new Mustang is quicker than the Camoaro SS, what will they say about that Mustang being as quick as any GT500 any said magazine has tested in the past. I only say that because in the past I'm pretty sure most of the comparo's only put the GT 500 a tenth or two quicker than the SS. But that's magazine racing.

well most the magazine love mustang so they will praise the new one saying look its almost as fast as the older GT500s

The Camaro was never "rare". Anytime you are selling at least 6k camaro's or more a month it isn't even close to being rare. I see multiple camaro's everyday day here in Ohio and the weather is crappy as #$%^.
