Ok, what are the consequences of running the stock recommended weight oil in a supercharged car? I know it can't be good, but I'm just wondering how bad.

Crap, I just got my oil changed before I put the s/c on. Maybe I'll change it again before summer hits with those 90+ temps.

Changing mine today and ran across this thread...great info!!
With two different, proven builders running 15w50...looks like that's what I'll do today as well! Thanks...this is why Camaro5 is the best!!! Great info!!! |

All done!
Would anyone recommend going back to 5w30 for the cooler months or stick with the 15w50 year round? I'm in San Antonio so cold cold winters are not a problem...though it did get below freezing here a couple times this past winter. Thinking 15w50 Mar - Sep and then 5w30 Oct - Feb...thoughts? Thanks!! |
