If you do get the 1LT get the 19" polished wheels option. The 18" look like something that came off that 1988 Grand Am I used to own...

Not really. Base price alone is $27,725 MSRP. That is with no options. You'd better get the 1LT if you can't spend at least $28,000 for 2LT. You might find a slightly used one for $26k.

build your own at www.chevrolet.com. Current pricing is listed there. Dealers on this site like Camaro Scotty near Milwaukee will sell at GM preferred pricing which you can find at www.gmfamilyfirst.com. You should call him. He will give you honest answers to your questions.

I ultimately did not go with Camaro Scotty because I could not wait for my Camaro. But he is one of several dealers you will have no problems dealing with. Give him a call. Happy hunting for your new ride!

GM preferred pricing is what used to be known as employee pricing. It is a discount given to GM employees and vendors and their family members. Preferred pricing is less than MSRP but higher than invoice. It cuts into the dealerships profits somewhat but not as much as previous employee pricing did. Some dealerships will mark down pricing to the preferred level to make sales.

So a 2LT is 26,875 MSRP with no options. I know some websites show there is a 800$ destination charge. Does that mean if I order through dealer and pick it up from the dealer I will have to pay that 800$ destination charge?

Yes. That is the cost to get the car from Oshawa to the dealer. It is the same if you live in Detroit or Dallas or LA

I placed my order for my Camaro on Feb. 17. 2LT with IOM paint, IO interior, black stripes, automatic. This will be my daily driver except for winter months. MSRP was $30205.00 and my GM supplier cost was $29360.00. GM employee price was cheaper last year before the new employee reduced pricing took affect this Jan.2010
I have been reading this forum for over 8 months, gaining as much information about the Camaro as I can to date. After checking one of the other threads (for model builds) I have found that my Camaro will be the only one in Michigan to this date with this option package (no RS or sunroof packages for me. I didn't want to spend anymore money. Also I really don't like the looks of the Camaro when the sunroof is open and on top of the roof. The Mohawk roof looks great too!)
I knew I wanted a 5th gen. Camaro when I first started helping to manufacture the Body Side Outer (rear qtr. panel) a few years ago. I work for GM on the manufacturing side of the business. Much of what my team and I did helped us in getting this great looking panel to the market.
Now I just need to wait for Mid-April to arrive so that I can take delivery of my new ride.
A BIG THANK – YOU to all those who have posted so much great information for me to read and use to make my decisions for my Camaro. I have a long list of items I plan to purchase over the next few months to make my great car even better.
