Wow. More than I thought on both models. 23K for the stripped v6? It'll be 27K for a loaded v6. I wanted the SS and was hoping they'd bring it at 28995. I'm not sure I'm getting one now. I really thought the v6 would start around 21K.

All you had to do was look at the address of the link he posted. It was a link directly to the GM Media website.

Why did you think that? Considering its engine is from a 40k Caddy, has IRS that NONE of the other "muscle coupes" have, 6 speed manual standard with 6 speed optional (again none of the other muscle coupes do) and so on.

Sorry it feels like way too many people wanted this to be the bargain that the 4th gen was with the V6. Its just not gonna happen with a MUCH superior car.

Was really hoping for 35K for the 2SS/RS...doesn't look like it's going to happen :(

Now the question is, loaded V6 (in blue!) or bare V8...if the 2SS/RS comes to about 40K, count me out. No Camaro should be pushing Corvette territory. It's nice to finally see these base prices, but I think the trims/packages are what's going sway people's decisions.

i need package and options prices. i want to put my order in, but i want to know what i'm getting myself into first. i've already started contemplating getting an LT based on the SS price alone. i want the SS/RS, but if the RS package is priced too high i won't be able to get an SS
