I have two in my Camaro 1 forward facing (behind the driver), and rear facing (behind the passenger) they fit fine I have to move the passenger seat forward. My wife can site in the passenger seat with the car seat behind her with no problem.

Went to Boston last night with a 4 and a 6 year old in the back of my SS. NO leg room even for them, and getting them in and out was a B**ch even just using the small booster seats. It's best to just make believe there's no back seat at all in this car.

That being said, I did the car seat thing with my 85 Camaro when my daughter was born, and I ended up giving up the car when my daughter was about 16 months old because it was such a pain. Wouldn't want to do it in this Camaro.

I have my 2 year old in a forward facing car seat all of the time - behind the passenger seat. My wife at 5"6 can sit normally in the front seat with no problems. My son though can reach the back of the seat with his feet and loves to flip the lever up and down behind the seat all the time.
I'd definitely recommend not putting the car seat behind the driver's seat. I had a sedan before the Camaro because I thought I had to have one with a baby. But any slight difficulty to get my little guy in the back is totally worth it to own this car. And it's really not that much more effort than getting him in the back of the sedan though. You'll get the hang of it quickly. The most important point is that my son just LOVES riding in my SS. Every night I get home from work he wants to go for a ride in daddy's "race car". Still getting him to learn how to say Camaro. Go buy the Camaro

All you guys must have small feet. I am tall and we have both seats all the way back while driving. I just went out and measured- there is 4" of space (leg room) between the front and back seats. I'm not complaining as this is a sports car. Here's one little (still Happy) guy without a car seat squished behind the passenger seat of my Camaro. We kept the Impala and the 4/Runner for daily driving, both 4 doors of course. Like they say "A picture is worth a thousand words".

I have two car seats in mine. My kids love riding in the camaro. My coworkers are always making jokes about how the car looks with two car seats in the back but I wouldn't want my kids to miss out on the fun.
My son can get himself in and out just fine. All I do is unbuckle his belt at the end of the ride. My daughter is younger and would love to do it herself but she can't. Its a bit awkward getting her in and our but worth the effort. |
