I'll be at the Camaro5Fest and will be interested in riding in a car with the solid rear subframe mounts. I'll also be interested in what that same car sounds and feels like with several thousand miles on it with the solid rear subframe mounts. I'd love to be proved wrong as there is no doubt ( IMHO ) the single biggest contributor to wheel hop in the gen 5 IRS rear suspension is the "cushiness" of the rear cradle mounting to the unibody structure. As an ex GM employee we used to have a saying that "Parts left out cost nothing and cause no warranty claims ". So I have to wonder why GM choose to isolate the rear cradle as much as they did. Of the 3, Noise, Vibration and Harshness, Noise and Vibration are the 2 that over time have the potential to make a daily driver miserable. All 3 are measurable but ultimately subjective to each user and what they can stand. Take it from a long time Harley and even longer Camaro owner. FYI, no one works on my vehicles but me so besides education I have 4 decades of real experience.

Well stop on over! We are more than willing to show everyone. There will not be any degradation in the aluminum mounts over several thousand miles. This would be true for certain rubbers, soft metals, plastics. I wouldn't be concerned with the deterioration of these aluminum mounts, to contribute to NVH after any typical high milage use. Like I mentioned before, drivetrain/powertrain isolation will be a much more important concern on this chassis.

Jeanius, so very sorry. I saw two of your posts (which I just included in one of my replies) and glazed over the third (your first post). Again, my apologies.

First, off, thank you for the compliments on the video. Second, as you can see in the video, there is a HUGE improvement on Camaros with stock powertrain. The wheel hop problem is only accentuated with added torque/power. So that is why we are recommending this subframe mount kit, our trailing arms, our poly differential kit, and our engine mounts to customers who are putting down more power than stock. The combination of these will keep a LARGE amount of power under control, result in less residual losses, and eliminate wheel hop.

So, to answer your question, it is certainly practical if you have 450 to the wheels. I hope you can see why, considering the results on a stock powertrain vehicle.

If you read through the install (I know you already did), it may seem tougher to accomplish if you do not have a lift. Honestly, what I have done in the past, when dropping subframes in a garage, is just to get the car as high as safely possible on jack stands. Then I would use my jack under the differential to lower the subframe. I've done this once with a friend keeping the assembly balanced, and once without. It is easier with a friend of course, especially to help align and install the assembly.

Anyway, I guess my point is, its all just a big set of metal Legos. Ok, maybe thats a bit understated! But you get my point, that if you are moderately mechanically inclined, then you should certainly not be afraid of this install. Hope that helped in some way!

No worries at all olblue75, we understand this product is not in everyone's budget, and as a result, need to purchase something a lot more compliant for the rear subframe mounts. The same can be said about coilovers, or superchargers etc. Not all offerings are in everyones budget, and they offer varying levels of performance accordingly. We appreciate the compliments! Thank you.
