I'm in the process of getting my car repaired from an accident.

My left side was fine, but my front rim got scraped at some point. He had someone look at it, and they said it would cost 350ish to refinish the wheel.

Also, it costs around 800-850 for a new wheel.

No, it doesn't....if the Tire is fine and just the RIM is damage, he can get the RIM at GMPartsDirect for under 400

What I would do, is try to get the place that you took your car to at least give you 1/2 the cost if not all the cost for the rim. It was their machine that damaged your rim.

I don't know how bad your damage is but maybe you can have it repaired?

Example http://www.camaro5.com/forums/showthread.php?t=46149

There's always rin repair too. It's cheaper and can look just as bew if the damage isn't that deep. May run around $100-$150

NEVER run these cars through a car wash. Spells disaster for the rims almost everytime.

Google wheel technologies, they'll repair the wheel, mount and balance the tire on the rim for $98 for a body shop.
