The new x pipe gets installed on the 2nd of April. Good luck.
I would recommend people stay away from the Super 40 Series Mufflers with this engine.

I have the 40 series Delta Flow mufflers and it sounds like this series isn't as loud on the drone you are complaining about with the super 40 series. Don't get me wrong, the Delta Flow has some drone around 2,000 RPM but it isn't bad at all, you can still carry on a conversation without yelling. Also if you listen to my Delta Flow Series and the American Thunder axle back kit, they sound a lot alike and from what I have read, the guys that got the kit are pretty happy with it, like I am with my set up.

Thanks to everyone that's been helpful so far.
I'm in Middlsex. A block out of Piscataway. I think it's exit 7 off 287. I'm free most of this Saturday and Sunday till late afternoon. I'm always up to taking a ride. Hit me up if you have time.

Phaze one complete, the kit on its own is much louder and deeper than any clip can reproduce. There is a drone at around 2000 rpm at light load, but none when your off the gas. The Magnaflow resonated x-pipe is on order and should arrive later this week and that should help mellow things out.

KFH,
I will be REAL interested in how the resonated X pipe helps the drone. The one I ordered does not get installed till the 2nd of April. Good luck!

I bit the bullet and ordered from lmperformance.com for $430 shipped. I went back and forth between MRT V1 and 2 and the SLP options but decided on this as the best bang for the buck especially since they are in stock and I've dealt with lmperfomance.com and was very happy with their products. I really like the 4" tips too.

Got my FAT today and I'm installing it tomorrow. I look forward to hearing how you like the x-pipe. I might think about doing it depending on the sound from just the FAT. I love that acronym.

I think you will get the "drone" somewhere in the rpm range nomatter what exhaust system you go to unless you stay stock (packed with steel wool) or install quality sound deadening material.

I'm still looking at a flowmaster axelback kit for my 2LT. the only thing is i don't want it to be too loud. I've owned a car like that before, and it gets really annoying after a year. I was thinking about getting the 40 series delta axel back kit but I still need some feed back on the sound.
