BMR makes VERY good stuff! I have the bushings, trailing arms and toe bars installed and then had a "slightly" agressive alignment... wow, sticks to the road in the corners much better. The rear is much more planted now!

I just had the BMR differential bushings and trailing arms installed along with the Richmond 4.10's but plan to do the rest when I can afford to get 1000 HP axles.

I installed the pedders diff bushings in my car today and could also hear the gears whining at light throttle and also could hear a clunking when instop an go traffic wich i believe is the gearset loading and unloading since the diff no longer sits in those soft rubber bushings

mark... do you have stock gears? I noticed with the 4.10s and all the hard bushings and new trailing arms and toe bars a lot of the "clunk" that was there with the stock stuff is gone. My car was very clunky before. But... now I hear the gears... I feel its like the hurst shifter. You take out all the bushings and replace them with hard bushings, now I hear everything in the tranny too... pros and cons I suppose.

I think the clunk is actually from all the rubber bushings allow everything to move more. I noticed a lot of clunk when I first got the car but now there is none, everything seems very tight. I ask about the gear pattern b/c the stock gears are much tighter set than the Richmonds so you'd think there'd be more clunk with the engage/disengage with the 4.10s over stock gears but I have nearly no clunk anymore.

to me it feels like the clunk came with the diff bushings because i already had the subframe bushings and it tightend everything up but the diff bushings took all the cushion out of the driveline

No difference in sounds. No whine or anything. I can feel the difference in taking off and shifting. It is firmer without a doubt. Just the feel of the care is different when adding power, firmer and more solid than before. I can realize this because I drove it over 100 miles this morning in heavy traffic, highway, and back roads. Then changed them out and drove it again to get gas and groceries. Hats off to Kyle at BMR, he was absoutley great to work with. Thanks kyle your the best.

We are actually having a softer durometer poured as a future option in the rear Differential Poly Mount Kit. What we have is certainly a great product that supplies the ultimate performance upgrade from the OEM differential bushings. But as with many other things, we like to provide differing levels of street performance for our customers. Some are more sensitive to NVH concerns, and as you have seen, excessive NVH is not a primary concern with the bushings we currently offer. But we realize this is a subjective concern, so we want to make sure we have everyone covered! |

Should I read this as... "when you upgrade to our parts there is the chance of incresed noise. This will not be the case on every car or with every product but just be aware that there MAY be some noise" Pretty much like with my Hurst shifter... some are quiet as a sleeping baby, some are not. Mine is in the middle, a little bit of noise. |
