Insurance...
Hey guys, quick question...
I know it's not possible to guess exactly what it will cost, but in general, are new cars a whole lot more to insure than say, my 2000 Accord V6? I'm 19 and my insurance is just over 100 for full coverage (no tickets/accidents). Using my payments now for comparison, would it be safe to say that it won't be more than 150 for a 1LT/RS, do you think? Or is it generally a lot more to insure a new car? This will be my first new car buying experience, and I'm still learning haha. Sorry for the dumb question, I'm just trying to figure my finances so I'll be able to buy one as soon as possible |

Well someone correct me if i'm wrong but I think some of it depends on your age...i think since you're 19...it will cost you more than other people. I'm 25 and have ordered the 2SS....I called my insurance and they gave me a quote of about $120-$130 a month....
You should call your insurance company and see if they can estimate it for you....

With you being 19.. your age will play more of a factor than the car itself. Your best bet is to call up your insurance agent and ask them to give you a quote for a mustang (might aswell get the v6 and the gt and average them).

My insurance agent said she heard that state farm would insure the car at about the same rate as the Z06, which for them was $175 for full coverage. But she said "dont quote me on that".

I was pleasently surprised how reasonable the insurance was on a new Corvette. Of course, I'm not near 19 yrs old. though... |

I'm looking at about $200 bucks a month. But I'm also 22 yrs old. I currently pay $126 a month for my truck. So it'll definitely be a jump in insurance.
Damn the insurance companies! |

25 is the general cut off. So anything below that would be really high and once you hit 25 it's cheaper on out, if of course you have a decent record though.
With state farm I pay $260 a month for full coverage, and I drive a V6 02 Camaro.. |
