I dont know bro, it sounds like your questioning your decision. You should trade in for an SS.

V6, or V8 who cares it's a Camaro NO mattery what trim, or engine option you have.
I get the same thing from people with my 2LT/RS is that a V8 I tell them no V6 with the same HP as my 2001 Z/28 (ok one less hp per Chevy #'s) parked in the garage ![]() Sean

I've said it before. The V-6 guys have one up on us in the looks department. The front end on the v-6 is much cleaner looking it doesn't have that useless mail slot that's only good for ssooch and the kit lighting.

Yeah as much I approve of the V6 theres more to it as far as HP. What most fail to realize the TQ is garbage. 279TQ for a 3800lb car isn't great and isn't beating 90% of the cars on the road. Lets just keep it civil and realize that the V6 isn't meant to be the performance car thats what the SS is for. Yes it has good power for what it is but let's not go crazy with it and act like it would beat or is better then the 4th gen SS's. Come on now line one up with a stock SS and see what happens to it.

![]() Point being don't justify why you brought something by having to compare it to somethine older and different standards and tech back then. HP don't tell the whole story and we all know that.

And ls1s made more than 300hp at the crank. Everyone knows they were under rated, seeing as vettes were rated at 345 and it was almost identical, just an exhaust manifold difference if I remember correctly. |

People will always think what they want, and seem to enjoy taking away your thrill - or at least trying to.
I was at a gas station, filling up The Beast, and someone on the other side comes over and asks what engine, how much HP, 0..60, questions. His answer? Wow, a Porche 911 turbo can smoke your car. Ok...I smiled, turned around, promptly ignored him, finished filling the tank and left. People are idiots! Enjoy what you have, else get what you want! Love the V6's!

I dunno IMHO a 6 can have 1000hp, but it will not sound like a v8. Acoustic importance.
I flippen love the v8 rumble, and would not have it ANY other way. |

Instead of saying that you could have said "Even with 304HP compared to the V8's 400+ ......" I do agree I feel 400+HP for street use is overkill.. but if I make comments like that then I have some people saying you should have bought a prius, which to tell the truth really irks me.. if they wanted an more horsepower they should have bought a ZR-1....
