This is 24mm and/or 15/16".

being that the cannister is aluminum: do NOT use an open end wrench, or a 12 sided wrench or socket. over time, you are going to strip the soft metal. I'd recommend using only a properly sized 6-sized socked.

I bought 5 of the AC Delco PF-2129 filters from Ebay. Came to about $7.00 each shipped to the house. Couldn't find them in 3 different auto stores. So I went to my best shopping store. EBAY. Click Click and it is on it's way. No more running around to find out that many of the stores don't have them in stock.

The canister takes a 24mm socket.

part # 7090 from your local napa store fits other late model gm's
05-09 sts or 08-09 g8 hope this helps!
