Yep so wait let me guess: GM pulls out the Corvette parts bin and uses a different intake or header, etc.

Well unfortunately the 5.0 is dynoing anywhere from 435hp to 460hp at the crank. So I say go ahead GM make my day.

You won't win with this new motor. Even the Z/28 will fall to the 2011 GT500.

Hmm this reminds me of 03/04. The Terminator perhaps? Well welcome to Part 2.

even funnier, the camaro disappears for years, and BAM one day, comes back to life and destroys all mustangs

I'm happy that ford is "trying" to edge out the power/looks/performance of the camaro, because that makes our future camaros even better (i.e z/28)

I posted this on Camaro5 to warn you and save you from further embarrassment when you line up against a new 5.0 and get destroyed. I'm not crying I'm trying to protect the mullets.

You mean POOF the Camaro sold like a dookie sandwiches on a 80 degree day.

Oh right and the Mustang has continually sold since 1964.5 Over 9 million of them. Don't even bring up the Corvette since the sales numbers aren't even close.

BTW lets not forget 5.0L vs 6.2L? Oh thats right because Ford engineers a better motor. I think GM needs to understand something: volumetric efficiency.

Have fun losing to the 2011.

LOL. This guy must be really upset with the test results. Why is he wasting his time here?

I mean all this shit talking with cars producing the same trap speeds and nearly identical 1/4 mile times in the two reviews I have read. Handles like a pig? it is right behind in the tests. And lets see some lap times and not just figure eight test. The camaro was behind in the figure eight before (not by much) as well but was still quicker at the track.

Whats really sad is that we still have a 6.2 which he chooses to ignore. He is going to need a supercharger (like always) to keep up when the modding starts.

Its also funny how he believes it is under rated with todays SAE certification. Simple dyno discrepancies has this guy jizzing in his pants. An why is it running the same times as a camaro if it is 200lbs lighter with 450hp...youve got to be kidding me.

And we still arent comparing 2011 to 2011. The camaro would need a simple swap to 3.73 gears (like the mustang has) and it would be faster.

He must be about 17 years old I am guessing LOL

How sad.

Good to know. Forgot to mention the 11 stang is basically using "aftermarket" type headers. They won't get much more hp on a switch.

and yeah BAM, camaro destroys the mustang!

oh BTW

The back still looks like shit, looks like your engineering team couldn't design a decent looking car I'd take a kia forte over the rustang anyday

Actually the Mustang runs .2 quicker in the quarter.

On top of that the 5.0L is going to respond to mods VERY well. And you're right you do have 6.2L. Now if I'm not mistaken the 5.0 puts out more power from less displacement. Like I said before GM engineering is getting old.

And what I'm doing here is payback for all the little Mullets who come on OUR forums and run their mouths. Honestly first you run your mouths. Then the Terminator comes and you complain about a blower. Now this comes and you all say "wait till they throw Corvette parts in 2011". You should probably stop running your mouths.

And if you can't then I'm pretty sure the 5.0 is here to shut you all up.

"Mustangman99"
I proudly have the 2010 V6 Camaro and MY GOD how many mustangs I whiped out!

Furthermore, I would bet you anything that the SS will rip the 5.0 any day , any time!

Btw, Im a CAMARO lover and I would not think twice on visiting a mustang forum trying to convince owners that a stang is a better performance car with a nicer tail light than a camaro lol (wasteman!).

CAMARO 4 EVER BABY!!!!!!!

Actually no. It ran a 12.9 as well in motor trend (they even say so in the article LOL). it also ran a 13.0 at edmunds just like the mustang did.

All with the same trap speeds in all tests (AKA same speed/power in a roll race)

So like I said you are bragging for nothing. We had a reason to brag before...we were spanking that little 4.6 by over a half second son. Now you are nutting over one test that shows a .1 tenth difference with the same trap speed. You make me laugh

And yes it may respond decent to mods...but you have to be crazy to think it will respond like the LS3 will...the 5.0 is all ready close to 100hp per liter....if you know anything about cars you would realize it is far closer to being tapped out than the camaro. Not to mention it has a better exhaust from the factory as well as a CAI.

Do you really think it is a secret to make 412 hp out of 5.0? or that gm can only get 426 hp out of a 6.2?
They have something called GAS MILEAGE to worry about. GM chooses to use a 6.2 because it can make solid power being corked up a bit and still have good mileage. Then when you decide to do mods you have A LOT left in the tank....un-like your 5.0....SON.

Answer me this...do you really tell yourself the new mustang would hang with the new camaro both having bolt ons and a CAM?

This 5.0 may not even be worth a damn supercharged...it has a very high compression ratio.

So again...what exactly are you bragging about.... The .1 tenth difference they got from the camaro ss in the motor trend test (that was on a different day mind you)....the same EXACT time they got at edmunds?....or is it the same trap speeds they got in all the tests?....maybe the mod ability that you know nothing about?

As far as the terminator...yes it had a blower and it was a cobra.....wasnt even in the same price range...I could have cared less back then. But you guys bring it up like its your lone defender because thats all you had

And we are the ones who say wait till next year ROFLMAO...thats all you guys ever say! We say it now because you dont even know what the 2011 camaro has....is it not fair to at least compare year to year? cmon now

Get a life and do your homework.
