Looking forward from the rear of the cup holder, there's one at 9:00 o'clock and another at 3:00 o'clock. Both are under the Blue strips of tape at the narrowest point of the opening. One of them faces the front of the cup holder while the other faces the rear of the cup holder.....

Use the yellow and black wires from the traction control switch.

Third pic in the original post

I powered it from the power outlet (red and black wires). The gauge lights are controlled electronically from what I could tell (through the LAN). There are no separate power wires for the gauge lighting.

I did almost the same thing however two differences one is the standard lights from Pep Boys are too blue and don’t match the stock lights.
So I used the 5inch blue strip LEDs from Pep Boys and covered with a high tempYellow Kepton tape used in the electronic industry, this dims the light but made it match the stock lights perfect!
The second thing I did is I found the circuit in the console that is for the AMB lights so they are controlled together. I wish I joined the forum if I did this I would have saved about an hour of work.
I also used 10 inch blue strip LEDs to light the foot wells I have to say it looks awesome!!! I will try to take some pictures of it lit up tonight and post them.

Where was the ambient lighting connection you're talking about? I want to use it too!

So if you tap into the yellow and black wires in the TC switch it will come on and off with the lights? And can be dimmed?

Very Cool.

OK Not to easy to get good pictures in the dark but this is what I have so far. I will try to get pictures of the foot wells later. As for the exact wires I can’t remember I did this project three months ago.
Remove the drivers side wall of the console this will pop right off you will see a connection plug between the shifter and the cup holder take a test light and have fun.
Let me know if you need me to open mine up again to find out the exact wire for you.

Thanks for the write up Don O, I used Oznium low profile LED and tapped the traction control light, it looks fantastic!
