OK. Here is the first post with pictures from tonight. I didn't get out while it was sunny to get pictures of the other cars so I will leave it to some of y'all that did to post them here.

Good time with who we had there. Dinner at Sake afterward for 7 of us. It was a very enjoyable evening. Good to see Merlin out and about.

Enjoy...

Kris and I had a great time... late night! Didn't get home till about 11! Poor doggie! Well, we will do this again sometime when we can do the whole evening thing. Also, sometime you all should make the trek to Milford...

I think the Milford shows start in April so they should be up and running...

How much did it cost? I'm looking to get just the front fascia for now. I was going to install my AAC DRLs and I found a horrible sight. Air has literally warn down the paint on my cars nose! I imagine this is from freeway driving not street driving. I'm surprise I hadn't noticed this sooner but I rarely looked at my cars nose, plus before the time change it was dark when I got home. I don't know if its a defect in the paint or if the paint is really that soft. The dealer said they'd look at it and fix it for free.

if "air" is wearing paint off, thats a problem. I have 7100 miles and my paint is perfect. Mostly highway miles.

OK... so I stated my ABL today. I got the car torn down and the little section on the drivers side done and it looks great BUT... this is NOT the job for the weak at heart. I have cut, drilled, sanded and painted! You have to do a lot of dash modifications to get the tube to fit and the plastic trim piece to still fit and not see the tube. I am guessing this is why it was not an option. It is kind of a PITA but I feel the result will be worth it.

I am going to take a break for the dash and work in the house on the doors. There is tape on mine about 3" from the end.

So I removed the tape, sanded the panel and switched which end the light engine was on. It was on the end opposite of the dash so the light would peter out by the time it got to the dash. I felt that was silly so i switched it. Oh, and the doors are totally set up to have a light engine on each end of the tube but there is a dummy on one end. So, I jsut switched them. I am lovin it so far... Here is a sneak peak. I am done with the driver side door and dash. Now I have to do the long piece abd tghe pass. door.

This is the best I could do durring the day trying to photo light. More pics tonight!

Well I say "air" because I don't know what else would have done this. It's also the only part of the car worn, the mirrors, fenders and hood are fine so it just must have been a bad batch of paint when it came time to paint my bumper.

Yeah, Jack Maxton is the best out of all of the dealers in my area. They sell at MSRP while while everyone is 3000-4000 over. Great customer service too.

jrhaus76 - Looking good!

1 RD JEWL - Supposedly, it is possible to replace the LED bulbs in the door light assembly. I wonder how a burgundy or deep red would look on your doors/dash rather than the stock cool blue.

Thanks, it came out really good. It looks good inside the car, the light is a little uneven b/c the long dash piece fits really good and not much light shines though, even after you sand. I got it as uniform as I could. Kristen and Drew both said it looks awesome so I will call it a success! Esp. if Kristen blessed it!

Now from outside the car... WOW it looks sweet. If you turn the car off and turn on the halos and just walk around the car... looks PERFECT!

It was a lot of work and you have to cut and sand and drill on your dash. No way around it. The tubes and light engines WILL NOT fit without some modifications.

Just be careful and make sure everything you are cutting/drilling is hidden... I made 2 small boo boos but you cant really see them. I scratched both dash pieces at the ends trying to get them out! nothing major, never see it if I didnt point it out...

Sorry, no pics, my camera wont pick it up. You will all have to just see it in person next time.

I think RJT accross the dash may look really good! We need Randy to do it with the IOM to see how it looks with a vibrant color... I guess Ice Blue is pretty bright though. I think RJT would look better than blue. Actually if you really wanted to go all out you could have RJT door and dash panels made and then have the RJT ABL! The olnly problem is the guage rings owuld still be blue. May be pricey but damn it would look nice!

Hi everyone. Thank you so much for your well wishes. Darin is doing better. He's still having pain but not as severe. Right now, he's on day 2 of a bad migraine. It's probably a rebound headache after having Stadol and Morphine at the ER. Anyways, he sees a urologist on Friday. We are hoping he can figure out what's causing Darin's pain. We really wish we could have been there Friday. We were all bummed (especially Danielle). Looks like a great showing of cars! I'll be monitoring the boards for the next get together. Hopefully we can get Darin back in good health so we can come!

OK so Drew and I had mini mod day today. We installed the Eibach kit on both our cars. it was an exact drop of 1" in all 4 corners as described. The install is very straight forward and we are really starting to be able to whip these things out. We did mine first and it took about 2.5 hours. We took an hour for lunch at the local Mexican joint. When we returned, with over-full bellies, we were able to get his done in under 2 hours. Both cars look great and the ride quality is awesome. Sure, its a tad rougher but there body roll is greatly reduced and it looks AWESOME!

One thing we noticed with the stock springs is the driver side of my car was about 1/2" lower than the passenger side and Drew passenger side was about 1/2" lower, both on basically level ground.

Drew and I have decided that we will do or help anyone who wants to do this but there will be some cost. Its easy, can be done with the tools we own and we'd need the car about 3 hours tops...

Now for the pics (before followed by after):

Mine

Drew's

And my favorite pic of mine... obviously after!

OK... who's next? Paul? Oh.... Paaaaaauuulllll ??

Yeah, and a full tank of Gas! After dropping these cars, you really need your mechanic to test it out good, cornering, etc., just to make sure they are happy with their work.

They look great!! What a change in the looks of these cars with only a 1" drop. Amazing!!

Hey girl, nothing like having power when you need it. You already have the exhaust to handle the extra power, and the CAI is ready to feed more air to it. Oh, and your CAI looks great!!! I will be adding one when returning from C5F. I just don't have the time to get one and installed before leaving out. I have family in visiting this week.
