Camaro Supplier Question....
Ok, I'm going to try this over here, no luck on a couple other sites...
My wife and I were wondering if anyone would be able to tell us if TRW Automotive is a supplier for the Camaro and if so, what part? My wife works at TRW Automotive and she is not sure. I used to work at Visteon, they supply the headlights, taillights and the BA sound system. I've already seen this from Automotive News, it's not a complete list. Thanks. |

The supplier discount doesn't mean you have to work for a company that supplies parts for GM. A 16 year old kid flipping burgers at McDonald's qualifies for the supplier discount.
Go here https://www.gmsupplierdiscount.com/ip-gmsupplier/ and type in your company name and it will tell you if you qualify. |

I don't think he was asking about supplier discounts. He just wanted to know if that company supplied any parts for the car.

I used to work for TRW, North American Braking in Livonia. I believe our machine shop was working on the this platform awhile ago producing prototype corner modules, using aluminum instead of stamped steel currently used. This might've been for the Z28 application?? Or next generation - not sure. Other than that, if TRW is involved w/ the current platform, it'd be either steering related, or maybe seatbelts. Perhaps one of the airbags not mentioned in that diagram? Not much of an answer for you, sorry....
