A caravan of 2010 Chevrolet Camaro fans is leaving the Meijer store in Warren Thursday morning at 11 a.m., headed for Valdosta, Georgia.

At least 16 Detroit area enthusiasts driving 2010 Camaros will be departing for Camaro5Fest. They'll be meeting up with 80 other 2010 Camaro drivers along the way.

Approximately 300 new Camaro owners from around the country will be attending the Camaro5Fest this weekend to celebrate the fifth generation of the sports car for the 21st century.

Over 80,000 2010 Camaros have been sold since the car's launch in early spring 2009.

I was wondering if an event of this magnitude would make the news somewhere!!!

GM should capitalize on this as a great PR and commercial opportunity to promote the Camaro - not that it needs ANY promoting...this car 'sells itself' by its sheer awesomeness!!!
