Whatever, hillbilly.

You know I've lived all my life in MO and NEVER once been to Jeff City...seems weird to never have been to the capital of the state you've lived in for years.

You already have. Rapid acceleration and chirping your tires is driving like a d*ck. Time to grow up and realize your mistakes.

Ok, why do I feel certain you are a life-long Democrat?

OP: sorry that happened, we all get unjustly popped at times!

Exactly !!

I'm not trying to say I hit a hard 1-2 shift, I was in first, normally shifting into second, once I hit second I got into it a little, hit the brakes.

So then when I say "huh" genuinely surprised thats what hes giving me a ticket for..."ok..." comes back with 15 over.

Was I doing 15 over? No. Did he know that. Yes. Did he also know there is no way I'm risking points so I'll just fix it. Yes.

Mother F'ER.

Just, don't do anything. Don't make ANY noise from your tires. Friend got popped for that (I was in the car, he SCRATCHED the tires, no burnout, just, scratched them). Don't make a lot of exhaust noise, ticket for that. Don't accelerate...rapidly...nice and arbitrary. Ticket for that. Two other people have gotten tickets for 5 over, I got popped for a speed trap a few weeks ago.

I'm pretty well GD sick of it at this point...literally, if they don't like ANYTHING about you, there is something to give you a ticket for.

Rapid acceleration...oooook...

You know the crap part is, I can't 100% blame them. Enough utter jackasses drive like COMPLETE a-holes...combine that with the state gov pissing money away for decades until they are all broke...hell, why not.

The incentive to NOT be an utter moron like everyone else is pretty low. You still get smacked down...might as well deserve it.

</pissed off rant>
yep, just wake up a bit earlier, cruise the slow lane, and enjoy the ride.
they will bore of you and move on.

I chirped my tires? Thats news to me, learn how to read. And who gets to define rapid acceleration.

Nice try though. I think they need some self-righteous smugness in the FI forum.

The cop gets to define it. Your Friend "SCRATCHED" the tires. Sorry although scratched and chirped go hand in hand. Either way you both deserved it.

rapid acceleration: also known as i can get to the limit before you. I have gotten this before. It is seen as a unsafe acceleration to the limit. Unsafe being in a careless way.

Now that that is said. Im with you i LOVE cops they are some great people for doing what they do but some are a holes. Two storys, 1 back when i was younger maybe 17 18 i was going 49 in a 35. Oncoming cop flashes me turns around and pulls me over. I get everything out ready in my hands being as polite as i can (he is a cop he deserves that). He tells me to get out, undoes the back of my truck and has me sit down. After a 25 minute talk he asks do you want the ticket now? I say that is all up to you i did wrong and will pay for what i did i wont fight it. He lets me go with a warning. I have yet to speed since. 2 about a year after the last story im going down a long road cc on at 48 in a 50. a cop follows me for about 2-3 miles. Then the lights go off i pull over to get out of his way thinking i did nothing. Wrong he pulls right behind me. Starts talking about how it will be raining and driving a truck in rain can be dangerous (no shit theres no weight in the back) so i show respect to him and i think ok this was pointless. BUT the whole time he is talking i notice him looking all around the truck trying to find something to get me for. And after 4-5 minutes of no luck (im smart i dont do anything to get in trouble for) he sees a little crack in my wind shield. Maybe 2-3 inches long at the bottom right side. Says ill have to give u a ticket for that a 134 dollar ticket.

Which is fundamentally wrong. The police should NOT be making up the law as they go. The very reason we write laws down is so everyone knows what is and is not acceptable. Laws that depend on the mood of the enforcer are the realm of petty tin pot dictatorships.....

I've never once met an officer who didn't enjoy having the discretion to do just WTF ever they want....

Maybe next you can decide that your night stick cracking someone's skull constitutes them assaulting you...

Or that you can violate the assembly rights of citizens at will because "you said so"

So you went from me doing it to my friend doing it. Ok...

At what point do you admit you are just being kind of an ass for no reason.

Please feel free to show yourself out.
