Sport Mode.

Anyone have this happen?

While breaking down from 60 or so, foot on brake - off gas, it revs up 1-2k rpm like it wants to keep going. "Don't stop, just go go go!"

Probably after a shorter run, of accel - short stable speed - brake apply, not after a longer cruise.

Its ok.
Whats going on is that the computer is down shifting therefor your RPMs will go up because of the lower gear your in relevent to your speed.
Get it?

Its just downshifting as caliemt stated, so when you come out of the curve or whatever and you nail it your in the proper gear to slam your head against the seat , its a pretty awesome feature,my favorite infact on this car!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!1

I noticed on sharp turns like on/off ramps it holds the gear you are in. I like it !!

Maybe a former Toyota Worker was on the line at Oshawa that day?

I have noticed this happens a lot especially if you have been on and off the throttle several times close together in sport mode (as happens with me in the mountains).. The computer senses the Spirited driving and adjusts it's shifting to help match your needs.. thus when going into a corner and you let off the gas it will downshift (RPM's Increase) so it is ready to accelerate out of the corner...
These things are SMART!!

I only have 150 miles on my car, and I always drive it in Sport. What is the difference between Drive and Sport?

Sport mode is more aggressive shifts at higher RPMs. Also, chances are you get better gas mileage in Drive vs Sport. I do my 'daily driving' in Drive mode and go to Sport when I want to have fun with it.

Continually impressed with this machine.

Also, I really should drive in D more, but I'm addicted to Sport Mode.

Yeah, i use Sport 80% of the time, 20% Drive. =D Sport is just more fun. You also keep practicing exact times to shift. =D

I've driven in "S" mode since day one. I like the way it shifts compared to "D". My fuel mileage hit 26.4 over the last 100 miles on the trip from C5Fest. I had the Rotofab CAI installed by CincySpeed at the fest.

It's called "S" mode? weird my car says "M" mode o_O... Maybe difference between Canadian Camaros and American lol. Since we have 2 units selectable in our DIC, Metric and US. Gawd, i hate metrics though lol.. would be better if the world just used one set of units.
