If I was on the west coast and we had it here again, I'd be pissed. Just sayin'. We don't want to divide our community. We have a special thing going here and we should be fair to all.

That being said, I vote Theodore, AL

But, really. The California guys already draw big crowds at their local shows. I'd love to meet those guys and hang out.

IMO, you would then turn one huge show into a couple big shows. They would take away from each other. Not saying I have an answer, but I don't like that idea.
I thought about your point after posting. I don't know...I think it would either take away or maybe create a rivalry. Then of course, I would only want to see a fun, respectful rivalry. I don't know and I haven't voted yet. I would like to see other ideas before I vote.

Just FYI.

We will take into consideration the poll. But it does not mean it will be the sole base of our decision.

It's not an easy thing to figure out. So many factors involved.

Let's keep in mind that these organizers and participants have already established some GREAT rapport and relationships with SGMP, and there is something to be said for building on what has already been started.

Also, if you feel so strongly that it should be moved, please be willing to step up and work your butt off, because that's what these guys did, and I think it's unfair for us to ask them to organize something from scratch every year at a new venue. I mean no matter where it is, there will always be some who cannot go.

Sorry to go on and on, but I think that the guys that did all this work are getting over criticized for the choice of venue, when "ya gotta go with what ya know" so to speak. And those of us that were there can attest to the fantastic weekend that was the 1st Annual Camaro5 Fest!!!
Totally agree!! Need to build on what was started. If you move it, it will be like starting over.

I absolutely agree with Scott, I am voting for EAST, but my vote is also to go back to VALDOSTA.

Two examples of annual events that started small and have gotten HUGE, now people drive all over the country for these events:

14th Annual Cruisin' The Coast October 3 - 10, 2010. Along the Gulf Coast of Mississippi http://www.cruisinthecoast.com/

Daytona Bike Week, The World's Largest Motorcycle Event
February 26, 2010 - March 7, 2010 - http://www.officialbikeweek.com/

Once again, I absoltely agree. It's not that I don't have a thought of my own, but everybody is already stating what is in my head so why repeat it.

C5Fest was a super success and there is still room to grow at SGMP and in Valdosta building upon what has been done by Chris and so many others. There is no reason why it cannot be turned into a two or three day event.

There is plenty of lodging and plenty of restaurants. I don't know where everyone else ate, but we made a bee line for downtown and ate at as many of the local restaurants in the historic district as we could while we were there. Every single one of them was genuinley happy to see us and our Camaro, treated us very well and the food was ALL delicious!!!

***We go to Cruisn the Coast every year, and have been attending for the past 8-10 years. We usually stay for 4 nights and have a great time, In fact, last year about 12 C5 members met up for a photo shoot and cruise through downtown Gulfport then down Highway 90 to Edgewater Mall in Biloxi. Maybe this year we can make an even better showing??? I'm pretty sure CajunCamaroChic was there too!

Totally agree!!! We have started something special, now lets build on it in Valdosta. Not move it somewhere else and totally start over.

+1

C5Fest has a much better chance of building and getting better if we stay the same place.

no 100% NEW plans

Last years + new ideas = lot easier to improve each year

I guess you guys don't care to have us west coasters there.

I know I won't be able to make it every year if it's in the same place.
